The Tigers are unaffected by SOO once again, but not so the Panthers who will be missing Petero and Jennings, plus they have now lost their best player this season in Michael Gordon for the season and now Tahu is on the sidelines. That's some decent strikepower out wide and one tough prop who makes metres every game who will be out.

While there was no doubt the Tigers were mentally disfunctional against Souths, they won't get a better opportunity to fire up and make amends at Campbelltown next week.

Yeah thats the big question isn't it. Souths had a injury riddled team, just like Panthers, but they were far more hungry and committed than us. So it really depends which team turms up on the weekend.

Is Lewis injured as well? I dont know how he is not in the NSW side.

If injured, GREAT news for the Tigers, if not, then :wtf: are the selectors thinking?

Lets hope we can beat a premier league side the Panthers will put on the field but I would prefer more injuries to the Panthers just in case…. then a few of the guys can lay more claims to an Origin jumper.

Possibly Grant as well had a hamstring strain in warm up before Fridays game ??? over him as well

what about Ellis is he a chance of playing against Penrith??

We will Loose again this week - Why????

Because we should win These types of games… (Bulldogs, Titans Souths)

Hope Gibbs is back this week as it will strengthen our pack up, also i would like to see Ellis play but i think he is still in pommy land & back for the saints game. P.S i hope we get a big crowd there & get behind the tigers.

Gordon, Jennings, Tahu and Civoniceva are obviously out for them.

Think Coote and Grant are in some doubt but should play. Hopefully Coote is out (although he is expected to play), he seems a player who puts in good efforts against us.

Even if those guys are out, there team is as good as ours. We have better halves and a better 9, but in saying that they have a much better kicking game, which is always a big factor and balances out the halves quality more than people think.

Penrith without Jennings, Gordon, Tahu possibly Coote, that backline doesnt offer much strike at all and at C-Town after that miserable display against Souths the boys should be firing, so long as the forwards to there job we should run rampage, Tipping Lui for a strong performance

Tahu ruled out for season

Timana Tahu's attempt to revive his career at Penrith has suffered a massive setback with the dual international ruled out for the rest of the NRL season.

Scans have confirmed Tahu ruptured a pectoral muscle in Friday night's win over Brisbane and will require surgery.

The injury is season-ending and may also be career-threatening for the 30-year-old, who signed with the Panthers for one year in an attempt to get his troubled career back on track.

Tahu left Parramatta in clouded circumstances after a tumultuous 2010 which included two highly publicised racism rows and a suspension for a blatant high shot in a game against his former club Newcastle.

He took time off from the Eels twice, mid-season and during the off-season, to deal with personal issues.

Tahu signed with the Panthers in March and has been used in both his preferred position of centre and as a backrower by coach Matt Elliott.

He would have been hoping to convince new rugby league manager Phil Gould he was worth re-signing on a longer deal.

Tahu's injury is also a blow to the struggling Panthers who, despite a 33-10 win over the Broncos on Friday night, have won just three from nine in 2011.

All of that is true. But, that is exactly when the Tigers don't perform. The loss against Soths came only a few weeks after another inexplicable loss to GC Titans. Something is clearly not right at the moment and until that can be fixed (and I have no idea what it is…..maybe the talk of punting Gibbs and Fulton etc...?? only guessing) then no matter how obvious the advantages seem to be, there's as much likelihood of a loss than a win.
