@stevetiger said:I honestly am surprised that anyone is sticking up for this guy and buying his long term palava. You cannot win football games without scoring points. I've also never been less interested in watching us play as we are so boring.
To top it all off his talk about structures is one of the all time dumbest comments I have ever heard.
Lets hope he grows some brains and starts trying to win some games.

Watched St.George lately?
God, some people are pinheads.
@Tiger In The Gong said:Taylor has completely whipped the imagination, creativity and flair out of this team – and remember that for all their youth and talent this should be one of the most creative teams in the competition. In fact, the only time the Tigers looked remotely dangerous or even interesting for that matter, was the two chip kicks provided by maligned youngster Mitchell Moses.

Taylor has tried to turn this team into a structured-and-rehearsed-play team. That’s (sort of) fine, except that the strategies, structures and rehearsed plays are abysmal – and that is the coach’s fault and his fault alone. The continual midfield bombing from Luke Brooks and Moses is a directive of Taylor – the chip and chase is closer to their natural game.

How meekly turning over possession, finding the fullback’s chest continually (Mitchell Pearce eat your heart out), and building no pressure can be considered a tactic is beyond me. Kicking to open space and corners is a tactic that 15 other sides in this competition use and funnily enough 13 of them are ahead of the Tigers on the ladder.
Exactly as everyone has been saying, but lets watch the positive brigade minions defend this one again.

I've seen a lot of scammers in my time. They often state stuff like Taylor states to divert attention away from the real issue which is typically that they have no idea.
You need to score points to win games. We aren't doing that. No amount of BS will get around that.

@supercoach said:It was a good read but just echoed what we have all been saying on the forum. I think most people understand what Taylor is trying to achieve and think it has some merit, its just the way he has gone about it and the football we are playing in order to bed in this so called structure.
As supporters for a long time we have been asked to show patience, that their is a grand plan in place and the good years are not far away, but as each year rolls on the spin is getting harder to swallow

Sheens did attempt something similar in 2010/2011 but it was always going to be hard having Benji in the side
But you look at that side v 2015 side and its a completely different set of circumstances
Unfortunately someone had to have the nads to do this and Taylor is proving invaluable with his conviction to the cause
We will come out a far better ,consistent side once we deal with the current pain
@barra said:^ and the effect on the squad morale, confidence etc in the meantime, depending on how long this goes on.
@happy tiger said:We know when we concentrate on attack we have points in us
We have rarely ever proven we can defend on a consistent basis

Well in real terms only the squad can answer that question , true ??
The quicker they get it right , the quicker the pain is over
