Interesting retweet by Koroibete on twitter

the kid has only been playing for a minute…

I know it wasnt the correct play either, but he was hammered for backing into the in-goal rather than his normal fly out of the line decision, that alone shows he was trying to learn/adjust.

Defence isnt black and white, you cannot give someone a set of strict rules to adhere to, it doesnt work like that, its about evaluating each situation depending on formation from both sides, its an experience thing... he started so late and thus doesnt have that experience yet.

At the moment he is purely a catch and run player, we all know that, but if it was my call I would be trying to keep him around to see if he can catch on. Many a player has struggled at first, then its almost as if they have a lightbulb moment, and from then on out begin to realise potential... most of those guys had the luxury of a lifetime of RL, not the steep learning curve Koro is on.

100% keep him, x-factor player that will only get better.
How about a bit of belief in our players!!! I'm very confident we have the right coaching staff to turn him around and bring the best out of him.

I saw Sharks are talking to him and Mansour.
We should definitely be making contact with Mansour, he would be great for us.

Why do we always say the club should jump at anyone on the market, then criticize teams like the Roosters and Dogs for signing everyone on the market?

I think you'll find it's been the opposite of that lately. I know myself, and I'm fairly certain the majority of the forum want minimal signings and are happy with our currant squad (with Tedesco hopefully re-signing). We just need to strengthen our backline a little bit.

I am hearing you B n W, he is indeed a novice, yet I still want to whack him with the sledge version for backing away anywhere near our line. I have little doubt he is "trying to learn/adjust", but if Smeg is even half correct about his attitude, it does not bode well.

Anyhow, base contract with incentives at MOST for mine at this stage. We have greater priorities, so if another club wants to give him much more, goodbye and good luck.

Yeah I'd prefer we kept him too. Surely he can only improve, and is not on big coin?

But if he wants to go to another club for an NRL spot he'll surely go anyway, so the ball is most likely in his court.

you'd think that if he's English (usage of twitter) was getting better - than his defense naturally should get better. That is, if like some say on here, that hes defense is not up too scratch.

Well…that's a great piece of logic. I don't quite get the connection between English language proficiency and the ability to tackle a rampaging forward, but that's my problem.

mate, your English is pretty terrible in this post- even to the point where i'm not entirely sure what your argument is

http://www.zerotackle.com/nrl/koroibete-staying-with-tigers-this-season-13425/

The Canberra Raiders were hoping to snare out-of-favour Wests Tigers winger Marika Koroibete before the June 30 transfer deadline.

But after the Tigers lost promising NSW Cup winger Taqele Naiyaravoro to rugby union a few weeks back, they decided to hang on to Koroibete as cover for NRL flankers David Nofoaluma, Pat Richards and Tim Simona.

Koroibete seems certain to move on in 2015, however, with the Cronulla Sharks and Canberra Raiders both hot on his trail.

our team looks fine, if moses kicks on and teddy resigns we are set for the next 5 years.

keep this young guns, like Seve and Lovett.

It would be great if we could keep him but the fact of the matter is that Nofo and Richards are much better wingers. They will get the pick for FG each week and until they get injured Koro will have to play NSW Cup.
Simple as that.

koro is a great talent and i wish we could keep him but i think a better choice atm could be rowe as a replacement for the wingers.

he has shown us that he does have some ability and from what i've seen he does not lack heart. keeping rowe in the roster could potentially keep teddy under pressure and give us a ready made replacement on the wing once patty retires in a couple of years
