Interesting things from the Hill on Friday night

I quit smoking 5 years ago wasn't a heavy smoker maybe 6 to 8 a day , so ive been there and done it nothing goes more in hand than a beer and a smoke .
I remember 8 years ago at Parra stadium when you were able to smoke where you were seated , i sparked 1 up and the lady in front of me said to me " i know your allowed to smoke but do you mind if you don't cause my Daughter suffers from sever Asthma and the wind is blowing right on us "? Turned it of and had no problem with doing so and didn't smoke throughtout the whole game even though i could if i wanted to.
If i'm on the Hill at Leichardt with my mates and there is people smoking here and there wouldn't bother me so much in open air (as much as i can't stand it ), but if i went with my kids and the smoke was bothering one of them, then i do have a right to say "can you not Smoke here" , why do i have to move spots when it's a non smoking area . As for the drink don't bother me only when it starts affecting the people around you ( can throwing ) , so i'm not a nancy just Respectful of others and that is all we are trying to say , Drink your 10 beers at the game cause that's something i would do , Be a Larrikin scream at the players , Refs , Opposite supporters , but people do have a right when they pay for an entry fee and there is Laws in place ,
I'm one of the biggest Larrinkins there is , But sensibly now maybe because i'm a Father now with responsibilities.

Well said, you can be a bit of a ratbag & a larrikin all while being considerate to others….just takes a bit of self control, unfortunately theirs always a few selfish dikheds wanna spoil other peoples enjoyment

Seems to be a few blokes here needing to prove their masculinity or something - insecure much?

Yossarian - If someone asked me nicely to turn off my ciagrette at Liechardt oval because of their kids, elderly, pregnant woman, I would politely apologise and turn it out. Any other random yuppie 'tells' me to turn it out, my answer would be "get a life, you're on the hil lat Liechardt oval…next time you're on the hill at Leichardt and you see someone smoking, tell them to turn it out...it might be me....Look at the response YOU get you keyboard warrior! Lets see if you can transfer your degrading attitude where it counts.

You're the one beating you're chest like a macho man telling people of the boganish exploits you got up to last friday night and then turn around and call someone else a keyboard warrior? really?

And ftr how the bloody hell do you turn off a cigarette? is it the same way you turn off a mobile phone?

RANT :rant :do you guys really not know what a non-smoking area is smoke before or after the game i hate to breath in and smell smoke when ever there is some one smoking next to me in a area were you can smoke i move away because i do not want to breath in the smoke but i dont tell them to stop smoking aggressively or politely because they are free to smoke there but when i am on a train/bus station or a sports ground and there is someone having a smoke right bloody next to me i tell them politely can you put that out or go were there isnt many people around and they usually do. i mean people can smoke but it gets to the point were i dont want to breath in smoke were i dont have to. i see people smoking at the end of a train station and i am totally fine with that and i applaud them for there respectfulness and selflessness. and i am 14 years old for god sakes

You want a medal or something? So you're going to punch me if I ask you to follow the law?
Fair dinkum - is that your solution? You always know someone is out of rational ideas when the old "you're a keyboard warrior - why don't you go and fight someone" mentality comes out.

I have told numerous people in numerous venues to put out cigarettes where they're not permitted. I mean what part of "it's illegal" do you not understand? Clearly your Neanderthal approach to conflict resolution extends to your intelligence level.

Seriously, it's clowns like you who don't give a stuff about anyone else who ruin things for everyone. Who wouldn't want to go to our games when major league schmucks like you are there ready to punch their head in at the first sign of a reasonable request?
