Intrust Super Premiership Team Announcement: Round 18

Wests Tigers Media
Tue 5th July, 04:50PM

Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership Coach Paul Stringer has named his Round 18 team to take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this Saturday, July 9.

Kickoff for the match is at 5:10pm from ANZ Stadium as Wests Tigers look to build on last week’s upset win over the New Zealand Warriors and move back into the top four.

Wests Tigers have made several changes for Saturday's game, with Justin Hunt returning from suspension to join captain Jack Littlejohn in the halves for the first time this year.

After an impressive debut last week, Manaia Rudolph will feature off the interchange bench alongside Rod Griffin, who made his return from injury against the Warriors last week.

Former Australian Schoolboys player Charlie Taylor will also play his first game for the Club on the wing, after being signed for the remainder of the season from the Wyong Roos.

After a slow start to the season, the Bulldogs have found some strong form in recent weeks, and now sit just three points outside the top eight with eight weeks remaining.

Looking for three wins in a row, Wests Tigers currently sit in fifth position on 22 points.

Looks like Liddle is injured?…

Why doesn't the club do an injury update anymore?

I didn't know Justin Hunt is a halfback...haha

Mayby we will see Liddle play FG this week.

Halatau named at hooker and he can't play 80 minutes so either Liddle will get a run or Taylor at hooker again

You could be right. Taylor's last outing at 9 was a shocker, throwing 2 forward passes. Liddle could be just what we need to speed things up around the ruck, provided he's fit.

Liddle will be named in the NSW Under 20's Origin side….

Congrats to him well deserved...

I missed something - when did Manaia Rudolph come back?

Last week mid-season signing from Manly until the end of 2016…

Felise wasn't selected for the QLD side due to playing NRL. I'm sure if given the choice Liddle would rather make his debut than play another junior rep game.

Also interesting to see Charlie Taylor eventually get signed. As you can see in his thread he's pretty quick. Scored 14 tries last year in NYC which is ok.

I remember in that Charlie Taylor thread someone roasting me for saying he wasn't first grade standard….

For a bloke who hasn't played first grade he has a big following of ardent fans.

He is decent at this level

Tigers v Bulldogs ISC game is on Fox Sports 1 on Saturday at 3pm EST.
For someone who can't get to any games live it is always great getting to watch any of our up and coming young guns in action.

No Jacob Liddle in reserve grade as expected. It has been a really strong start from Sironen with some tough carries and a nice offload with 2/3 on him to set up a line break for a try.

Spare a thought for Chase Stanley who has just gone down with what looks to be another knee injury.

He's had an injury plagued career including earlier this year when the cameras showed him crying in the dressing room after coming off with a hamstring injury.

Siro really staking a claim for a recall to first grade. He's running hard, tackling everything and offloading like Cory Parker.

JLT is just the ultimate professional, he's so controlled.

Hunt and Marsters going well.

Heleta should do a Fine and leave. He's an NRL player.
