im so stoked moltzen is staying, he is the best player in the team, and now our 1,6,7,9 combination will be complete with him at fullback gives him more chance to run the ball!!!

if moltzen plays fullback next year then hopefully he runs the ball back harder on kick returns, and defends better against kicks!

If Sheens was fair dinkum, he should let Moltzen leave for another club before he destroys the poor kid's career.
Moltzen is one of the WT's finest prospects and over the past 5 years i have watched Sheens ruin him.
He's a specialist half. Moreso a 6 than a 7.
With Benji at 6, Moltz was never going to take that off Marshall.
So his next best option would be to shift him to 7 and have him play a mirrored 6 on the opposing side of the ruck to Benji as a first receiver. Just as he has now done with Lui who is also a natural 6.
Please Sheens…..stop playing Timmy at centre, fullback, utility and wherever else you want him to plug!! You are better off releasing him to another club/coach who will play him in his natural position and let him shine.
For all those knocking the Moltz.....you ain't seen nuthin' yet...

A bit of state cup, mentoring, Wade McKinnon advice & he'll progress.
This is what he needs to do if he wants to succeed @ the club.
No #7 or #6, he sucks @ centre so he just has to step up as #1 and make it his own.

Get him on a diet of weights, heaps of food, catching high balls and cover defence. Apparently he likes fancy clothes and all the rest. Ban that stuff and tell him to man-up.

Tackling, one-on-one.
Catching high balls.
Running the ball back with vigour.
Positional play.
Once he improves in these areas, he may be ready.

So now here it the million dollar question . Are we keeping Moltzen for the future , Lui for the future or Miller for the future 3 into 1 doesn't fit . Moltzen would have to improve too much to become a fullback and with all our stars back he won't be 3,4 or 6 .

I have no problem with Tim staying. He appears to be a confidence player and that is something he seems to be sadly lacking at the moment. The trouble is that if the article is true and he is on 300K one would think he would have the attributes quoted by Tigers05 covered.
I don't see Tim as being a permanent number 1\. He has had a couple of very serious injuries (knee and head) and I am not convinced these are not in the back of his mind when putting his body on the line - which is needed for the fullback role.
I do seem him developing into a very, very good 14 who can cover a range of positions and have real impact off the bench especially at the back end of games where he can use his speed and ball skills to really trouble tiring defences.
I believe as soon as he sees the utility tag as being a positive and not a negative, we will see how good he can really be.

Hopefully if sheens is grooming him for fullback, the theory behind him being in centre is to improve his defensive ability.

I thought I heard on the radio this morning there is still a chance he will go to Souths??
If Moltzen is staying and wants to play fullback put him back to the state cup at fullback and learn how to play fullback now ,he is in no way a nrl fullback and if anyone thinks so they dont know much about fullback play , he is a half nothing more ,and he will not get past Lui or Miller. I just hope St George dont use him as a speed bump today

Moltz has the potential to be the best, but he just lacks confidence. If you take a peek at his performances in 2009 you'll see how classy a player he was and then how far he could go. I'm happy he's staying but I think a few weeks in reserve grade would help him out. Gain some confidence, find some form and he'll be back up there for sure. And I highly doubt we will have any problems finding someone to fill in for him, we do have about 1000 backrowers after all -.-
