Is our team much better than a reserve grade side?

Why are ppl putting crap on our team? Anyone who thought we would have competed last night knows nothing about football. Put a value on the players missing and you see why we have a reserve grade team running around. You are only stating the obvious! Brooke's $600, Moses $600, Idris $300, Lawerance $400, Farah $750\. By my calculations that is almost 40% of cap sitting on the sideline or gone. What do ppl expect when your team is playing one of the dodgiest cap teams at full strength and one of your stars is sitting on the sideline for 10 minutes of the game. Have a look at the effort - it is there, but the talent is not. This is going to be a difficult and frustrating year, get used to it and stop putting crap on our team. Go Weststigers!

Good summary from Tiger Tim. Injuries aside, it's hard to believe we've been hard up against the cap with these players.

We haven't, we've been hard up against the cap with Moses and Farah. Don't know if Parra are covering his salary for the year, but if they aren't, there's literally a million reasons why right there. _these_ players don't make up most of our salary cap (bat Woods and Teddy). Evaluate next year when we aren't paying other teams to take our little starlets.

i think we're on the same page VT. We've been hard up against the cap for a few years including this one, and across the whole top 25 squad. Big bucks concentrated across a few players, including some who no longer play for us is all part of the problem. I'm glad we have the cap flexibility to have a clean out.

BUT HERES THE THING THEY MOST HAVE KNOWN , that brooks was in doubt so why let moses go this week, the club is run by idiots me thinks.

They let Moses go because he doesn't give a fig, JLJ & Rankin at least try their best.

thats the whole point, he should been dumped to NSW CUP for the rest of the season, and if need asked if he wanted to redeem himself. we let him walk got nothing in return and get stuck with rankin and littlejohn. :crazy :bash :blah

The cap relief we get by letting Moses go will allow us to get Tui this season. If Moses had stayed, we'd have had no money to spend for this year. Take your pick … Moses or Tui?
