Is this a successful year (ahead of Sunday's game)?

Gotta say it has been an improved season. Just imagined if we played our best side every week.

Although Taylor said his focus has been an improved defence.

2013 687 against
2014 631 Against
2015 562 Against
2016 607 Against.

We were fighting for a finals spot saying how well we were playing we beat Parra & Dragons both nobodies
Great win over Cowboys
Lost to Titans at home
Smashed by a serious contender in panthers
Bounced back against Warriors
Smashed by Raiders

that periods for and against148 for 169 against with 4 wins 3 losses

Lots of improvement needed. With no Farah over our heads lets see how we go next year because none left for Taylor to blame
 
For me it has been an average year ,progressed on the back of Souths,Roosters having a bad season and Parra losing points .To be honest the roster is not all that strong and the coach is just a coach .Today played for a spot in the 8 and what I say is about where this team really is and that is not very good .
The success part is the front office that seem to have the mojo back.
 
To all those who consider this year a success I plead with you to take your tigers glasses off and really have a look. Accepting mediocrity is a hobby in this joint and make no mistake our season has been mediocre at best.

Yes to watch your team play like they did today after 26 rounds really points to the poor roster and coaching this club really has ..no use sugar coating this heads have to roll and players shown the door as next year could be very ugly!

But really if Souths,Roosters,Manly have there normal season we miss out on 8 ages ago.

All west tigers players coaching staff front office need to sit down and really review this year. Especially front office and work out what is wrong. The fans and players themselves deserve better.
There is no way today's result would have happened to any other team.

when you start a rebuild it usually takes 3 years we are on pace with tim sheens first 3 seasons even though when jt came in we have had nothing but cap problems
next year though there is no excuses if we dont make the top 6 it will def be a failure

I completely agree. We need to stop stating that we have a dud team and if we just miss the 8 that is acceptable. It isn't acceptable.
 
I thought the club started rebuilding after we got rid of Sheens and the boys club? Or does the rebuilding process restart everytime we replace the coach, CEO or a board member?
 
Equal last to 9th is a big improvement but losses to Newcastle and not getting the job done in home games against Titans and Storm would have seen them finish much higher.

It starts every year. I've said heaps of times that this palava is simply palava. All that matters is winning games. If you win a lot of games you can win the comp.

Today actually showed how far we are from being a top four team. I also don't see our problem as a coaching thing rather our roster is still short on size experience and quality. Till we sort out our cap woes we are not going anywhere.

I just hope we are able to do some horse trading and introduce some new blood

Warren Ryan always said a team with a negative for and against should not be allowed to play finals football
 
I probably would not use the word "successful" in answer to the question.

I would have we have improved and I would give them a pass mark.

I am still far form convinced Taylor is the man to take us forward however he deserves a 3rd season.

And a defence that was worse than last year when we came 15th, yeh haa, some people Stryker will never learn.

I think this year was an improvement, but your right the negative for and against is horrible.

I took of my tigers glasses and put on my American honey ones and the world is a better place!
