Cleary is renowned for promoting juniors. I'm sure he will know when the time is right to bring Gamble through.

Exactly and it mightnt be how we expect it.

Im noticing Gamble is stuck on a right edge, not roaming much. Seems to be coached to do this.

It could be on Ivans instructions as he wants to groom him to replace one of the back row.

Only the coach knows at this stage.

Under Adam Mogg at Redcliffe he played on the left. If he was given the instructions to roam I guess he would. No not a backrower. Far too many skills as a 5/8.

Beetson started as a centre and moved to the backrow initially. His skill set was as good as any half and better than any other forwards.I wouldnt be so dismissive of what a ball playing back rower can bring too a team.

Fonua 183m and MotM but no one thought he played well?

Well he kinda didn’t.

Yeah, I don't doubt it. Those judges don't look at the complete picture.

My point was: Obviously he has some high impact, but he must have some massive flaws if no one rated him. Doesn't sound like the type of player Ivan would be keen to pick.

Gamble has a really good short game. I would love to see Rochow (or Aloiai) and Matulino run diagonally off his shoulder. Along with his short kicking game I reckon that he would create havoc.

From what I saw of the game last 30 mins, we were pretty poor but it was stinking hot, so I would not take too much out of that game. Noone looked like they would push anyone out of the top grade.

If anyone missed yesterday's ISC game against the Knights the full game replay is available on 9Now

Not sure if mentioned already - our game next Saturday will be live on channel 9 again.

I guess you are talking about the Knights?

People saying Gamble has defensive issues after he missed one tackle? Maybe Elijah Taylor should be dropped too, he missed 4 against the Storm? Gamble has basically been the best defender in NSW cup. His front on defence is excellent. He's forced numerous errors and has made several excellent one on one tackles. Sure he's missed a few here or there too. So do all players (except Twal). He'll work on that as he needs to when coming up against better players.

Fonua looked very similar to Nof. Players who will get targeted in defence at every grade. Sure making metres is good but he needs to do more.

Drinkwater's kicking game was poor.

I look forward to next week's game which won't be played under 40 degree heat. Felise has to start though. Drop one of Sue/Grant to the bench. I'd say Sue.

I have to agree. Felise should be our next priority and should start.
