ISP Team Announcement: Round 6

Tue 4th April, 03:50PM

Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership Head Coach David Heath has named his team to take on Mounties RLFC this Saturday afternoon for their Round 6 clash.

Kickoff for the match is at 3:00pm AEST from Aubrey Keech Reserve.

After last week's stunning upset victory over the North Sydney Bears, Heath has named a near-identical 17-man squad for Saturday's clash against last year's minor premiers.

The only changes are that of Justin Hunt and Jacob Liddle, who have both been named in the Club's NRL team to take on the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville.

Veiru Mapesone will partner Jordan Rankin in the halves in Hunt's absence, while Jeremy Marshall-King will return to the starting side at hooker after coming off the bench last week.

So why is hunt not named yet Edwards and Tatola are even though all named in top 21? Assuming that Hunt is 18th man that will travel?

I haven't watched any ISP games this year. What do people make of Marsters in the centers? Would he make a better option than Kev?

I don't think he's got the legs to be a fulltime centre. Like Chee-Kam, he's an ok backup, but backrow is his spot.

Why do we always stuff around with the development of our players? Marsters won't be a centre so why play him there for NSW Cup? I'm sure there is someone in Masseys who can cover.

Mason Farrell is back… I reckon he would pretty handy at Centre!

Not really…

I thought they were. Mind you I haven't paid much attention to State Cup in recent years.

Way too many basic errors..1st half they had a lot of ball and position and came away with not much…Mounties Tries were pretty soft,..

2nd half started the same way..the fightback was good as in spirit but Mounties were in interchange trouble and clocked off a bit...

Seantice..Felise made some good charges but also had a few simple dropped balls and missed some tackles...best in the forwards were Jordan Grant Wes Lolo and Matt Eisenhuth...

Rankin had a massive chance to stake a claim for FG but failed miserably 5th tackle options were non existent...Mapasone was strong and a good runner of the footy but again Poor at the end of sets...

Milone busted his bum all game and scored a good Try...

He still should never see first grade again…

I wouldn't mind seeing Jordan Grant get a chance in first grade as a reward for his consistent performances in ISP. He seems to have a good work ethic about him, I doubt he'd let anybody down.
