To me the guy is way over-rated. Take out his leap and he doesn't have much else

Agreed, he's certainly no Inglis.

Whether he would fit our club or not is one thing, but saying Folau isn't much chop? - what planet are you guys on? He was like a leaner and more athletic version of Meninga in his prime! Devastating!
I remember a few years ago during the Inglis saga (re Storm-Broncos-Souths) there were people on these forums saying that they wouldn't want him here and that he wasn't worth the money. So as far as I'm concerned he might as well be Inglis, cos even if he was, this forum wouldn't be unanimous if he came on the market.
Please remember how good he was. It's Folau we are talking about. He is friggin top echelon.

I think Yow Yeh will struggle to get anywhere back to near his best unfortunately

From what someone told me his leg injury was almost as bad as Tuiaki's and its only the fact he is far lighter that he will be able to make a comeback

There is alot of interested parties on this one, if he does not make it back, this could be a test case that the players association are looking at to remove a clause in contracts.

It is not well known but if a medical person can rule that a player will not play again in their contract, the club can pay 20% of the contract value for any years the player wont play at all and cancel the contract.

Trials do not count as part of the season.

This even applies to players injured in trials, in theory, a player in the last year of his contract that does an ACL, can have his contract voided and only be paid 20% of the value. This has in fact happend to low profile players, I think the brisbane hooker from a few years ago might be one.

Understandably the players assoication sees this as an issue and wants something done to rectify this.

Yow Yeh has 3 years to go on his contract, and a substantial one at that, if it is determined he wont play again, they will be able to pay him 20% of those 3 years and cancel the contract, if that happens, Im under the impression the players association plans to get rid of this clause.

Does anyone know what happened with Simon Dwyer are we honoring the contract.

pretty much my thoughts, whether we buy him or not is another thing but he is a high quality player.

Anyone else find it bizarre that both Folau AND Hayne were born in Minto but have never come close to playing for the Tigers? I know Folau's family moved to Queensland, but how did Hayne not end up in our system when he played his junior footy in Campbelltown? Bloody hell.

folau is still only 23 people saying that he was overated and won't get back to his prime etc have rocks in there head. Who's to say that his prime hasn't come yet? A very good player looking forward to watching him back in league.

Junior recruitment is hardcore in south west there are thousands kids playing junior league there will always be kids that other clubs get to ? in the late 90's parramatta stole all our good juniors at age 15 sent them to westfields sports high and fairfield patrician brothers got them to . not every campbelltown kid goes through the st gregorsys system there is heaps of kids at gregs who r signed to other clubs look wat illawarra did with trent barret when he was at gregs .
