It all comes down to this simple equation now ....

The bad thing for us is that teams below us are hitting form and will most likely leapfrog us. Penrith already have.

We have invested a couple of million or three on Reynolds, Packer and Matulino and neither of these look likely to play in first grade for the remainder of this this season. You can't win if you haven't the cattle and Wests Tigers made a huge mistake last season investing in these three crocks leaving the very sad result that we apparently have little or no CAP cash in reserve to buy even one quality player.

We made the problem for ourselves and now we have to bear the consequence.

Book you September holidays guys ... I booked mine 2 months ago the writing was on the wall then ...If no decent recruitment this off season get in early for September 2020 for your holiday bookings you can get a good deal one year out !

G'day @happy_tiger: from the wording of this post you have proven without any doubt whatsoever you are 'the great optimist' and good on yuh for that :relaxed:
You are obviously a naturally positive and enthusiastic person as I am most of the time, particularly when it comes to Our Wests Tigers.
But, after yesterday's effort, I am no longer positive and have lost a great deal of enthusiasm. I felt very flat after yesterday's game as I still do this morning.
I had a great week leading up to yesterday due to it being Benji's 300th and for goodness sake, we had the home ground advantage? If Our 'Team' can't get UP for this game...
I really hope I am shown to be wrong, but I just can't see Us winning the next 2 games.
I full well realise We have won games dirty this season, but I don't remember a game where We won it due to Us being the better side and deserving the win. But then being an old fart as I am [and that's a cover for a lot of stuff you can't get away with when younger] I probably have short and not so short memory loss, so please remind me when that deserving game was @happy_tiger.
In finishing, I reckon We only had 2 players out there yesterday 'fully' deserving their place in Our Team being Chris Lawrence :v: for the continuing outright bravery he is showing after a horrific injury and without a doubt Our all-time greatest player BENJI MARSHALL 😛oint_up: :v: .
Ps...Our team is a friggin mess :skull_and_crossbones: .

@MAGPIES1963 - "for goodness sake, we had the home ground advantage"

Obviously tongue in cheek, you can't get away with stuff like that (if you are serious) no matter how hold you are.

Already have haha...

Time to bite the bullet.

Tell Benji and Robbie their services are no longer required, after Robbie's 300 put Liddle at 9, and Mbye at 14 for the rest of the season. Need to start planning for the future. Benji can play out the season but i'd like Madden to get a run in one of our dead rubbers so he can get a feel for the pace.

Bradley to replace Jennings immediately. Talau should get a few games too. Seyfarth maybe one off the bench.

We need to start planning for the future as this season is done. No room for sentiment.

@Russell we should have mate. It can’t be the supporters fault that the players, on the whole, put in an abysmal performance for the G.O.A.T’s 300th. I was so sure of a big turn out that I put fifty on our boys... my last $50!!!

I’m sorry but no chance am I focusing on that one comment that PIES63 made... players let their own real captain down yesterday.

G'day @momo_amp_medo: if I could hit the like button twice for your post, I darn well would, particularly for the last paragraph, cheers :relaxed:

G'day @Russell: yep, spot on mate, tongue in cheek is correct.
Considering ALL the grounds we have at Our disposal, Bankwest would have to be the last on my list, cheers :relaxed:

Liddle's service was excellent yesterday, and Mikaele is really on the improve, we just don't have those X factors in the backline, we are really substandard in this area. I wish that would give young Smith and Bradley a run.

Marshall was our best player yesterday and I hope he re-signs for next year. Madden is nowhere near NRL ready imo.

@bptiger Madden has looked ok in CC. You have to remember he's playing in a team full of useless players getting monstered by their opponents on a weekly basis. Hardly an environment for a young half to stand out. His kicking game alone is far superior to Brooks' (whose kicking game has gone backwards in recent years).

If Madden can come into first grade and put in last tackle options, find touch with kicks, and kick goals at 75-80% that'll do for me.

Isn't 1st's full of useless players too...?

@avocadoontoast Playing Benji next year is conceding defeat in trying to make the finals.

A brand new spine is needed. Brooks should move to 5/8

Currently yes, next year - hopefully not!
