What is most worrying about the 4 losses is the sense that our coaching staff seem to have no idea what to do next to change these results

I don't blame them. I haven't heard one suggestion that will improve the team this season because we don't have players to replace Brooks and Laurie. I think Doueihi can just be dropped because he isn't a half or a fullback or a good enough in any other position to get a spot.

Next season is a different matter. Surely the coaching staff aren't stupid enough to think those guys are good enough.

How stupid does it look when we let go of Hastings and Madden now. If we had those two they would be in first grade now. I don't think they are longer term options but they are better short term options than what we have.

To think we could have given him to Newcastle and kept Hastings.

Again that's not such a simple thing and I wish people would stop assuming it's such a straightforward transaction, as if the Knights had no say in the deal.

According to the stories Knights wanted Tigers to tip in something like half a million a year to facilitate the move. Imagine paying another club hundreds of thousands to be rid of your halfback. I can already hear stupid comments like "it would be worth it to be rid of Brooks" but the reality is it's really bad business to pay so much money for a bloke to be off your books.

Instead they took Hastings for nothing and we got Klemmer released in return. No such trade existed for Brooks.

The scary thing is Tim will need to step back and say "okay, I got that wrong...Luke needs to go"...

He will need to be like Bennet with Milford and make the change for everyone's sake.

Tim is incredibly stubborn though....

He's made quite a few changes already. Dunno if he'll say he got it wrong but he has made changes that imply he has made mistakes

I wonder how often a thread like this has come up. Brooks is a threat when he runs the ball. He is fast. We have no fast players. It's hard to drop him.

I get all the issues.

Still it's his final contract year and you can't resign him.

Did you listen to the press conference ? That is what I think Sheens and other coaches see. I agree with everything else. I'm not trying to defend him. He was poor. That was one of his worst games.

He was diabolical tonight. Has to be his last game as a Tiger for me. I have no problem with him taking his salary from the sideline. He needs the change as much as we do.

We need to draw a line in the sand - no player should get picked in first grade at Wests Tigers after an individual performance like that ever again.

There is nothing nice about criticising someone like this. The fact that he deserves it is the only
thing that makes me ok with it.

It must be shades of Mitch Moses tanking and kicking stones.
Or else he's chucking a tantrum due to his good buddy Mitch not wanting to play with him because Mitch would rather just stay home and count to 1.25 million without taking a breath.
