It is time for SHEENS to go.

Benj has been reasonably consistant I believe. He has been bagged for falling off Thaiday, But there aren't many players who haven't fallen off Slamin Sam.
With Lui back, Benji will take a bit of a back seat like he did on Friday.
I still remember the pressure we sustained on Canberra with repeat sets etc. When Lui and Benji were on… And how good we looked until we lost one flank.
We aren't far away from being there again despite Lawrence and Lote out.
I'm still hanging for Akerpira to get fit before Lawrence comes back...
Surely he will get a run?

If the Sheensy MUST find a spot for Moltz…. What's wrong with Beaus wing?
He exceeds him in every aspect of the game exept enthusiasm... Which we really don't require at the moment!!

You have to be able to catch bombs if you are a winger. And wingers also do alot of work taking hit ups off our own line. Moltzen seems scared of being tackled.

@tiger4ever said:
Probably not but surely he knows best. There must be a underlining reason for his decisions that we dont know of.Id like to think there must be.

I'm sure there is an underlying reason for everything he does, but not all of his decisions work. The problem with Sheens IMO is that he is stubborn and even when something is clearly not working he still persists with it.

Anyway mate its cool i blame the players for our performances they on the field making mistakes bad options giving away penalties missing goals and crippling injury tolls doesnt help any club that abides by the cap.

Agree that players need to take a fair share of the blame. Our fifth tackle options have been poor, Farah has been a big part in that. Our kicking game is also poor.

Penalties often comes down to fatigue. IMO if we used our bench better perhaps players would be less tired and then may not make mistakes - Payten's two bad play the balls against the Titans is a good example.

@tiger4ever said:
You mention the bench but against brisbane we lost the game in the first 20 minutes before the bench even comes into play.

Wasn't it still 0-0 after 15-20 minutes? We conceded all our points after that initial period.

In that game Fulton sat on the bench the whole first half. That puzzled me.

On the brightside of wing play utai i think has been our best.Poor bugga getting that falcon the will be showing that for ever now.lol

Agreed. He has put some of our forwards to shame with his work rate.

20 odd minute mark it was 16 nil so you could say we lost it basically in the first half before fatigue would be setting in.

not sure why fulton didnt come on earlier but thats not what lost us the game.

Maybe sheens needs to stop been so loyal to his star players dont put in give someone else a go just like people expect when its ryan.

It's not that it is Just Ryan… I can't think of a more inadequate Wing in the game?
There may be one, But I can't think of ANYONE who does even a small amount of the stuff he does...
Yet he is there... Week in week out!!
I like Beau, But if your not up to it... Your not up to it!!
People still chat about the Bomb Meaney dropped in the Titans game last year...
It was his first full game after about 5 minutes from the last game!!
But I can think of about 5 things without even trying that Beau has done worse than that with years of experience.
It bewilders me..... Surely i'm not the only one who thinks there is Better Options?
Now we may lose Matty Ryan??? How can we justify that??
Im sure he'd do just a good a job on the flank....

Yeah fair enough call then. IMO we just didn't look switched on at all.

Most of the time after watching the first five minutes you can tell whether or not we have turned up. Against Brisbane we looked lethargic, pedestrian and really not interested and that set the tone for the rest of the game.

Didn't lose us the game, but didn't help. Fulton's best attribute is his defence so not sure why he wouldn't come on earlier, just strange.

Realistically neither Farah or Marshall will be benched, regardless of form.

I'm with you batboy - Ryan is a terrible player and would not make FG at any other club in the NRL.

I can forgive mistakes, but like someone else posted, when you have played 60-odd games in the NRL and you are still making rookie errors like he does, doesn't that tell you something?

Aside from enthusiasm, Ryan doesn't do many things well. More importantly he is slow for a winger, short, and not a particularly good finisher.

Yeah cant disagree with any of that. But i know sheens is a smart man why does he pick ryan then.

They say the tackle he got when he dropped it cold and basically scored it for them was hard i didnt think it looked that hard at all.It was a weak play.

Im not one that thinks ryan should be in the team but what can you do.

Lets hope ryan goes well this week.

They looked like that even coming out of the sheds, I remember thinking that to myself at the time. Compare it to the Souths game when the boys really had their angry faces on walking down the tunnel, and the result that followed. That's the team I want to see out there more often than not.

NRL On Fox.

Sheens: (paraphrased) The only reason Moltzen is not fullback this week is that Wade can only play fullback and nowhere else.

OK….that will do me... :roll

Bug where do I sign

Sheens was on NRL on Fox talking about Moltzen how hes perfect for fullback and athletic blahblahblah and that he has him there because hes a runner… I don't see where he runs the ball back does anyone? he also said hes sat down and talking to him about why hes in the centres this week basically because Wade cant play centre and he can is the reason.

He said Moltzen can play fullback but McKinnon cant play centre, and both will contest the fullback spot for the rest of the season (when injuries dont necessitate utilising Moltzen)

Please tell me that after he said that his head did a 360 degree turn and then he fainted and now they are trying to evict the mentally ill soul that has entered Sheens body

wow.

I'm a stout Sheens defender, but that comment is just....... wow....

Having said that...

I remember the Canberra game watching a scrum play, and Wade lined up on the wing to defend, due to Lote going off. They were lined up in front of where I was sitting. Could hear everything being shouted on the field at that point, as the crowd had settled down, waiting for another Orford clanger.

22 year old Chris Lawrence looks over to Mckinnon who had lined up to defend on the wing - (no idea who was at fullback, but this was definitely Mckinnon) and had to give the 30 year old, nine season veteran an absolute schooling on defensive positional play. (albeit politely) "In a bit, move back, bit deeper. No, too far. There you go."

Positional defender extraordinare at the back maybe, but bloody hopeless on the wing.

Sheens may have a point - Wade maybe only can play Fullback.
