Question:

Would the loss of Tedesco be eased if tigers signed Foran or Cronk? And then signed someone like David mead as a fullback? Do you think tigers would be weaker or stronger?

I want to see the forward pack strengthened, that will help Brooks quite a bit and I wouldn't be opposed to giving Heleta a run at fullback next season if we were to lose Teddy and then go after someone like Foran who likes to play direct.

Forward pack will be strengthened. It's atop the new signings agenda with 2 outside backs. But don't want them to just sign anyone. Want them to be quality. Hoping the talks with vete/matulino come through to contracts.

Mead was really good last night and say you get him for 400g, you than have a extra 800g to fix some of our many short comings. Lot of very good players who are bench warmers on probably not big contracts at a lot of the other clubs. Bronks have a ton of really good young forwards, Chooks have players like Watson and Matherson who only get limited chances. Time to start build from the ground up

Tigers will have a lot more than 1.2mill to spend if Tedesco doesn't sign as well don't forget there is another 13 players off contract outside of the "big 4" so if only 2 resign of those big 4 I'd imagine there's close to 3.5/4 million at clearys disposal.

Would prefer Watson & Mitchell

Mead is on 140-150k at the broncs - he took a more than half paycut to go there from the titans, and with the titans he was on 300k

If the Tigers paid Mead even what he was getting at the Titans they'd be getting great value.

He's a nice guy as well - one of the good guys.

I'd be looking at Connor Watson, Latrell Mitchell and Joey Manu from the Roosters if they are after Tedesco. Lots of upside with these youngsters. Also Curtis Scott from the Storm.

Would prefer Watson & Mitchell

I'm not sold on either though would be a cheaper option

Thoughts on Tyrone Roberts?

Would do a job and kick goals, but would not win you a comp. I guess if you had a player in the wings and you wanted a fill for 12 months you would take him

Tigers $$ offer won't be surpassed it's really if he wants to stay here or not. The club has done all it can, I believe the offer is now close to 1.2 mil a year. They have upped it from 975k they have been able to do this due to the Simona sacking and reduction in brooks contract. If teddy signs he should be buying brooks beers for the rest of his life

Its not horrible. Roberts is a running 6 who plays whats in from him. If Cleary has a atructure where a running 6 and an organising half is needed then Roberts may be a decent option to partner Brooks. One thing is certain, Tyrone Roberts has all the skill in the world. Reminds me of one of those guys who was an out and out freak as a youngster, did things no kid should do on a footy field, but for whatever reason will only ever be a journeyman first gradder. I love watching hom when he's on fire.

4 years. He wants longer but from what I've been told they don't want to go beyond that. Might be able to squeeze 5 years but I think teddy is after the 6-7 year range.

If he's prepared to be here for the next 6 or 7 years then he obviously has no problem with the direction the club is heading and its obviously a money issue. I think we'd look like desperate wrapping him for any more than 4 years.
