Its all Millers fault

Newtown, i generally think you are a voice of reason, but that post is just a crock…

Potter walked into a poor squad, many long term signed (lawrence and co), needed to sign Farah high to keep him as a foundation, and couldnt have fore-told this kind of injury toll in a season, neverlone a top 25 calling quits in Mosese...

I blame Lui not condoning what the scum bucket did but if he hadn't we wouldn't of been stuck with Moltzen and we would have had a great halves combo

Robert was always gona go home… He requested a release a couple of times prior.

Regardless of miller's performance or non performance,he certainly has no friend in benji.

when miller played in those early rounds, they played like strangers.

all the papers said that it was millers time against the dullbogs,,and miraculously benji declares he is fit to play.

i don't think benji will be on jacob's chrissie card list.

He couldn't be any worse that what has been dished up in his absence and at least we'd be seasoning someone.

You're right, he couldn't be. But why would you season a player who is leaving as opposed to your own?

I agree Black n White, you can never foretell these things. Potter is now our coach and we must back him 100%. I have learnt from experience that it's not easy coaching a young inexperienced side. The first junior side I ever coached was similar but much younger in age. They hardly won a match in their first season. They went through undefeated in their second season and many years later one of the players graduated to Balmain first grade. I am sure that Potter can things around if the fans and management put their confidence behind him.

Miller has looked our best no7 we have tried this year by a country mile but got dropped because a senior player did not like what he was doing. I did not see the same senior player giving Moltzen a gob full when he was playing like a lame duck in the no7 role. If anyone should be under the pump its our two senior players, they get paid massive dollars to guide and energize our side. Okay Farah is probably our best player week in and week out on first glance, but is he good for the team or why is the team not responding to the platform he is setting. Maybe we have to look at playing more like the other clubs where your no9,no7 and no6 all play a traditional role.

Anyway what scares me the most is, they dont seem to be out their in the market place looking to rectify problems. I get the feeling they are hiding behind their injury toll thinking next year it will all change. They will get the spoon this year,Parra actually turn up and have a dig every few games and penrith are showing plenty of ticker most weeks.

I believe you are right Supercoach. The two most senior players in our group should be mentoring these young blokes :bulb: maybe they just do their own thing and are above reproach I hope this is not the case as we will not grow as a club/team and players from outside won't want to come to our club if they know this is happening. Nobody should have that much control, lets hope we are both wrong eh :exclamation:

I'd go as far as saying that we'd have been better off if Miller played instead of Benji.
I have no idea what Miller has even done to deserve being shafted after a handful of games. A whole off-season gone to waste? What must be going through Potter's head honestly.

I'd say Miller hasn't done anything wrong per say, mostly because he hasn't done enough being drowned and out-played by Benji. But at least he hasn't gone with the big plays that we don't pull off and that constantly puts us under pressure.

Like I said in another thread, the days of our ball-playing, fancy skills is dead. We need to persist with a sharp passing game and structured plays to get us anywhere. The speed and footwork from our outside backs is what we need, not a clown in the 6.

The club did the dirty on him…..in the end they did him a favour

Bet he's breathing a sigh of relief

How did the club do the dirty on him? He certainly isn't the first player to be let go from a club after not really giving any indication that he can cut it in the NRL.

He may not have been given the leeway and game time that Lui was afforded years ago but Lui at least showed early on in his 1st season in 1st grade that he had the talent to handle the NRL. I mean how many years did people think we were gonna persist with someone in order for him to show what he is capable of? Sure Miller may become a superstar in Super League- just like those other NRL legends in Hanbury, Holdsworth and Ben Jeffries.

He'll kill it at Hull. Wait and see. He'll be a sensation in the ESL.

As I said, yep he probably will be a worldbeater in ESL: as have other reserve-graders from the NRL. It highlights the weak standard of the Pommy league moreso than anything. Adam Blair would be a champ over there as well without a doubt.

I said it for Miller and I'll say it for the others. Brooks/Moses would be no worse than what has been dished up by the others. Sack Marshall and hand them the halves jerseys now lol.

Totally agree and get rid of farah at same time ! Need a dummy half that thinks not reacts and makes bad decisions constantly.

Marshall and Farah along with Woods, Tedesco and some others are the players who we have to build with for the next couple of years.

Farah and Marshall need major work on their games but these two have and can carry us.

We need forwards that can tackle and outside backs that can catch the ball and make a bust.

How bad was he tonight… was terrible when he switched to the left in defense, leaving his outside man isolated far too often.

As for his kicking game, just terrible... I think Souths scored twice from his attempt at kicks?

What... Miller wasnt in the 7???

My god, what rubbish comments on this thread!

If you believe Miller has been given a fair shot at the number 7, then I have got the winning lotto numbers for tonight. It is obvious that Farah does not want him at number 7\. Farah is a dominant personality in this side and it is strangling the team. Miller is now off to England, add that to the long list of so called no hopers that have moved on, do I need mention them.
