Your dad is worried that he may never see WT play finals footy again, I'm 64 in December and I'm worried I may never see them win a game again 😻

If you go back to the preseason topics most members said there isn't much hope for us this year as our roster sux. Well that truely has come to fruition hey.
Few people said all they wanted was a team that doesn't throw the towel in and be competitive.
I think there has be an improvement as a lot of losses have been close and we won a couple of games that went down to the wire.
I said at the sart of the season that I would prefer to end the season with a couple of wins so we build on that for next year. We'll find out I guess.
Injuries to Alex and Stef and now JH has made things hard to get those wins.
2023 was looking like the start of a good thing but as usual the gloss has been taken off due to Papa not confirming he's a starter for next year and we are yet to replace our departing forwards.
If things were different and better then it just wouldn't feel like the WT.
 
When is Lee’s next Grandstanding opportunity. Be fun to hear what Papa’s manager said today…
 
What I don't understand is why we threw the towel in while we were still trying to recruit players for next year and beyond? In the NFL, where there is a draft and you are rewarded for tanking, or just being shit, I can understand doing what we have done, but as there is not, I am bewildered.

Madge was sacked and not really replaced. Poor old Noddy is on a hiding to nothing. We have released a FRF (Mikaele), a 2RF (Luc) and loaned a centre (Oli) and winger (Noffa). At the same time, dealing with injuries to our top FRF (Stef), our main FB (Laurie), our main 5/8 (Doeuhi) and our main cleanup FRF (Twal). Plus the usual short term injuries clubs go through. I'm sure I've even forgotten stuff. Then the club expects people to renew their membership, buy jerseys and get excited. Feeling a little negative about our outlook at the moment....nothing a couple of shiny new GOOD signings wouldn't fix though. i.e. NOT Woods or N Brown types, actual good signings.
 
At least I have a reason to go for a team now, Storm for Noffa. Hope they win. He must be loving playing for a winning team after all this time in NRL. Good on him 👍

Noffa making storm run on side every week but gildardt played one game only 22 min of bench and not picked this week . Roosters not using Gildardt much should give him back for last 2 rounds
