Madden/Hastings are very smart footballers.

Brooks.... I'd argue, he has quite low footy IQ and tries too hard.. a move to 9/14 or a new club is desperately needed for him to be his best or to better our club as a whole.

I’d be interested to see Luke at 9 with others running the show but after tonight I think his time with the Tigers is limited

It's like he has bought into the line he has to own the team. He is trying but he comes up with dumb plays. I've never rated Madden but he was good. I can't see Brooks keeping his spot this season.

It’s not really unexpected from him but it’s a terrible play that shows where he is at. He is a good go through the motions footballer but unfortunately we don’t have enough quality players for him to do that

When Brooks was off - Jacko went another gear and really led from the front. Really worked with Madden along side him.

I think the Brooks / Hastings pairing will let us down many times this year... and it won't be Jacksons fault.

I think despite Brooks appearing to try he is still so below standard, it isn't funny.

Brooks isn't a genuine halfback despite 172 games playing the position.

Hastings/Madden far better than Hastings/Brooks

If we watched that game and thought anything differently I’d like to hear why

Because it was basically their state Cup Team playing at the end and we had dominated the game to that point where we had 61 tackles in their 20 by that stage. Far different than what Brooks faced.

That said, I love Brooksy but if I could bet him to kick a grubber into the legs over 1 a game I'd be a rich man.
