Sure, change is long over-due - for the coach and some players. But the management also need to consider that along with being a business, the club is also an entity. And as such, the fans need to also be considered.

Booting the fans' favourite players in what seems to be a disrespectful manner will have repercussions, some that might be hard to recover from, and may have quite easily been avoided. Some of the WT star players are heroes in the eyes of fans, particularly young fans. And as such by punting them in this manner - be they a tv clown like Ryan, or a stalwart like Heighno - is bad business.

You might think that the odd kid shedding a tear here or there is unimportant, well I disagree. And I also know that among many young people who are not big in stature there is a huge amount of respect for Beau Ryan who plays with ticker and passion in a sport that favours big blokes - in fact he gives these young blokes hope.

Some people who are turned away, especially if they young, may not return at all. I'll stay, like most on this forum but it is really leaving a very bad taste in my mouth too.

Barra your last paragraph is spot on IMO. The young supporters are the future of our club. Sure it is part of our blood and we'll be here for the long haul but the young ones aren't like that. My young bloke is shattered that lote may not be with us next year. (I don't have the heart to tell him that lote is past it!).

Geez I hope the powers that be read posts like , supercoach and Eddie.

Well thought out and show everything so clearly… Great Job guys

See, despite any of this negativity, when u support a club so passionately , you don't just leave, but a part of you can be frustrated and so things like, not becoming a member or not forking out hundreds of $ on so games happens...

And if a few supporters act like this which sadly it will happen more and more at the moment, then just maybe the management and hierarchy at wests tigers may just listen. Why is or should it come to this though ?

It's in our blood and that's why it hurts bad... I just want something to come Out soon officially from the club, good or bad.

At the moment. All that's coming out of concord is bad news and doom and gloom

What's happening ?

Well, I guess that when the dust settles from all this there may be some who choose to not renew memberships.

If that is the case, you should let the club know why. Better they know the reasons, otherwise nothing positive will come from the decision not to renew.

(On the other hand if in fact everything looks really good when the dust settles, renew and also tell your reasons!)

If these changes mean we win the premiership this year or even if we make the finals because of the changes when we wouldnt have otherwise - will thos who have critcised the club make a public apology to those running the club ???

Also Eddie - you made the comment below
"WT's have been spoilt by crowd attendance, media exposure and general positive press over the last 7 years. They have been spoilt because what they have delivered is far less then the exposure they get."

This to me indicates that while the playing and coaching staff haven't been doing so well those in charge on managing the buiness and marketing side have in fact been outperforming - So Well done Steophen Humphries and the management at Wests Tigers

Also those who criticise because we seem to be right on the edge if not just over the salary cap each year - well for me that is what I expect my club to be doing - wringing every last possible dollar out of the cap to get us a better team , making changes when it may make a few fans unhappy if needed to get every last ounce out fo the team- So again well done Stephen Humphries and management team at Wests Tigers.

From an on-field point of view - we have been top 4 twice and mssed the finals once in the Humphries era - 3 years ago when he took over we hadnt made the finals in 4 years. We hadnt had a player cleanout in any of those times now after just one injury plagued season we are - Well Done Stephen Humphries.
