Who plays wing though? He tried Cini and he had a decent debut followed by an awful second game. Hoffman? Judging my the flurry of signing speculation and meetings he's clearly not satisfied with the talent he has.

And it’s good he’s trying to rectify the situation. But he’s been here 2.5 seasons, why didn’t he realise it before?

He's not really had the cap capacity to do much. Until he offloaded Reynolds and a few others he couldn't target anyone decent.

He had the money to go hard for Latrell Mitchell on more than $1m a season. That would have bought 2 pretty good wingers.

Who, though?

You could get any wing combo out of KOE cup and they’d be better than ours now. I was fine with releasing Thompson because I thought we’d have someone lined up, but realistically he’d be our best winger now by miles.

We have the worst two wingers in the comp and it’s not even close. And that’s down to poor planning

I would have thought down to availability, not planning (we have a team who look at this 24/7)?
Our new recruitment system seems to not be overly keen on paying overs for anyone?

Maybe so, but our new recruitment system will also result in us being one of the worst teams in the comp for years to come.

Mate the only positive in this club is Hartigan, the lower grade results show the strength of what he is implementing.

I have nothing against Hartigan, he’s brought some decent players to the club. But I am at the stage now where I am completely disillusioned with this club. Madge is hopeless, our players (with the exception maybe of AD and Laurie) are an embarrassment, and our management are totally incompetent.

Just an absolute pathetic excuse for a club.

i get one man but two or three?

Easy. Take a look at an example of our positioning from last night. This is when Nikorima kicked through for them to score.

Doueihi has run (and turned) in so Nofo is forced to follow. Their fullback could easily have run around and created 3 on 1. Laurie is in no man's land as he had to try and cover the edge. They turned the ball back and he's gone. Our inside defenders have been lazy and left a gap (where they scored).

Nofo, Laurie and Twal are the only ones showing urgency. They only had 12 men but still could have scored out wide because we jammed the middle.

What's really disturbing is they could have also scored on the other edge - we have four defenders not visible and they have six attackers not visible so we were also two down on the other side.

I don't know what the answer is. With Laurie sitting back on the 5th tackle we should still have been able to defend man on man against 12 but instead we're tripping over each other.

That is my worry, believe me he knows what he is doing. The talk of not paying overs is an exaggeration, he is very tough on the mid level players and paying them for what they add to the team and being very honest about that during negotiations. Part of the reason for doing that is to have the money available to go hard after the right players when they become available. Problem is we haven't made the finals in 10 years so even with the extra money no one wants to come here.

This is incorrect, he was following the lead runner. Nikorima caught him and went back on the inside, Laurie slipped, it happens. Was a good attacking play

Well some of that money went on Daine Laurie. But this isn't Football Manager. You don't just have 500k and buy a winger from a list. There has to be a viable option. We've had a crack at a couple of wingers without success.

Yes but Laurie was this year and by all reports not a big contract. Last year he spent big money on Joey Leilua when he should have been looking at wingers. And this year he extends Nofo for 4 years.

The Nofa decision came from the top. Nofa was offered a fair contract over 3 years and told the exact reasons for the offer. He was not happy with his offer.

And the Top in this case would be Mr. Hagipantellis?

Who’d want to go to one of these functions to listen to flogs like Pascoe
Blow smoke up your clackers and listen to cliches from pretenders masquerading as NRL players .

I still can't believe there's going to be a documentary about this season...great viewing that will be. They even said there may be an additional episode if they make the finals. Ha!

I'd prefer to watch a doco on a successful club.

Cameron Ciraldo anyone

Mate,I hate reality TV shows but when our doco airs Im going to have to watch MAFS,because it would be less torturous than our show....

Management is a farce
They’d rather focus on making B grade docos and conjuring up desperate fan girls crap like the ambush than focusing on footy.

That's a bit harsh..The Ambush is by fans for fans ...the Club doesn't really have anything to do with that....you should come we could yell obscenities at Nofoaluma together

The fans that go must be stoners looking for cheap beer and a free slice of pizza .
Who’d want to go to one of these functions to listen to flogs like Pascoe
Blow smoke up your clackers and listen to cliches from pretenders masquerading as NRL players .
As a fan we want on field results that’s it

You can just turn up for the game..I'll buy your beer..

If these sort of defensive issues continue surely Madge has to go.
Talau and Noffa would struggle to defend in NSW cup

Well then that person should be fired because it was not a decision in the best interests of the club, and shows just how amateurish we are.

Can't be

The club shouldn’t be run by the sponsor.

The sponsor is the Chairman who does that ?

John Grant 2.0
