It's not even that bad

We're blooding a whole bunch of youngsters looking for the future with a lot of talent on the sidelines against a team that is quite clearly the best in the comp. Result was to be expected really. They dug in alright in the second half and a few players were alright. We're gonna get more spankings so get used to it. It's our turn to be the worst team in the league and that happens under the salary cap merry-go-round. If we can get some boardroom stability and show some heart we'll come out of it alright just like every other team that has ever sucked before.

The kids aren't the problem. Aside from Simona who was defensively awful in the first half, all the poor defensive efforts were from seasoned NRL players. Blair. Thompson. Pettybourne. Even Woods was poor tonight. Nofoaluma and Tedesco were our best along with Fulton.

The seasoned players have to cover for the 'kids' lack of experience.
Too many 'potential superstars' have not lived up to all the hype (and , yes , that's possibly because there are too many on the field together)
It is beyond the few real first graders to cover for them when they are struggling with their own form.
All the guys trumped up to replace our 'duds' have provided zero when given the chance to stand up.
Where to next?
Maybe try a few men from reserve grade rather than boys from the under 20's?
Wish I knew the answer.

Good thinking CK maybe we will unearth another special 2nd grade player like Moltzen in reserve grade.

Blair Fulton Marshall Reddy Pettybourne …Yeah those guys are really covering for the lack of experience...we would be crushed if we lost one of those guys particularly Blair.

Which superstars haven't lived up to all the hype ?

I think Mac has said it, the answer is patience.

When you're faced with a mess you just get stuck in and start cleaning up. I wasn't looking for a win last night, just looking for positives. I thought for the most part the juniors played with good attitude against a better team. I'm not looking for wins each week but looking for improvement. Apart from Farah, I'd like to see better on field direction. Halfback.

people are jumping up and down wanting answers … but it's not as if you didn't know we were going to get spanked and if you didn't In denial is your world .
This is going to pay of in a couple of years time I'm sure of that , like Mac says Patience is a Virtue

We need to play props, I am stunned how Ava got such limited game time last night.

We need a forward pack that can get out there and dominate. Props are important but our backrow is simply ordinary.

2 props + 13 playing as a prop + 2-3 props on the bench. Add to that Fulton and maybe Sue as 2nd rowers and see how we go. The 2nd rowers have to defend out wide and it will be a tough ask - they need to be good defensively and Blair doesn't cut it.

Ava looked good last night. Woods can play. Buchanan can play. Galloway is great but always injured. Put Blair at 13 and tell him he has to play up the middle. BMM needs to be a reserve prop. I wish we had Bell out on the park.
