It's time to take the fight back to HBG

How would member voting be guarantee for improvement?
It smashes what can only be described as a closed door cartel that have total unadulterated control. It implements mandatory term limits, where voting can have people not only replaced so they can come back in 12 months, but totally removed. As is now there are factions in the joint always has been. But they do as they please whenever it suits them and all the political manouvering is done in the dark. Once members have the vote, the factions come out against each other and lobby the members, but its the members who have the final say. Even if a faction is voted in and they do a rubbish job, the term limits give the members the ability to remove them for other individuals or another faction. The vote puts all the power into the members hands and out from the hands of a current cartel who only play musical chairs and are answerable only to eachother.

Can't help but feel this is the last chance to make change. If HBG win in court, we may as well all give up.
HBG dont want this in court. Iv no doubt if Andrecchios team starts releasing things in court. HBG board are going to either look absolutly incompetent or worse. He would have the dirt he was there throughout tje Wests Campbelltown and Balmain buyouts. Pretty sure he may have been one of the independant board members appointed by the N.R.L when they took Balmains debt before HBG secured it from them.

We will need members who give a damn about WT...not just the Friday schnitzel special and the pokies

Can someone tell me is Tony Andrecchio pro Wests Tigers?

Not PRO Balmain, not pro Magpies...2 teams i don't give a shit about

Is he a positive for Wests Tigers?

If what comes out of all this all seven board members are voted by the HBG member base it is a means to an end, even if it is being carried out by way of vendetta.

It would give WT fans and members an incentive to sign up as HBG members and obtain voting rights, directors would then live and die by their decisions in respect to WT.

Anyway it has a long way to go before anyone gets excited. It would not surprise me in the least to watch this all collapse (debentures reinstate Andreacchio in response to dropping the suit,) and the status quo remains.

One thing though, and this may have already been discussed and I've missed it, but apart from their own altruism, how can HBG be compelled to rescind the debenture system if there is nothing illegal about it?

I guess it all boils down to what TA is arguing:
...that his expulsion was "designed to entrench the debenture holders' control of the board"

And

The Andreacchios describe this system as "oppressive" and "unfairly discriminatory" against members.

I guess if the court finds in favour of the discriminatory aspect...which is a big no no these days...then there may be a chance.

This part has me a bit concerned:

"They want the court to declare the debenture-holding directors' positions vacant and call a new election in which club members vote for all seven board spots"

It doesnt state removal.of the debenture system, just a call to vote in new members for the board.
I wonder how.many current members there have any interest in WTs?
Its been a monopoly for so long only those current board members probably even know of WTs existance.
If WTs supporters joined now we still have three year wait for voting rights even if the court upholds the request

Yeh i understand how the current system works just unclear how other systems would work

Yeah it doesn't explicitly state overturning the debenture system, just to scrap the board and vote again.

The debenture holders just get to pick among themselves for their spots again if there's not a call to actually dismantle the debenture system. This is what worries me in that HGB will cave and reappoint Andreacchio in return for him dropping the claim. They know one thing better than anything and that's survival.

If it does get overturned and the whole board becomes electable by the base, even if it will take three years, every WT fan should obtain HBG membership, eventually they would hold the balance of power.
