This should be music to our clubs ears. They’ve put all their eggs in one basket going for Ivan. We need to be smart and have them on their hands and knees. Nothing less. If we hang on to him, who could they possibly sign in the interim before Ivan does go there. They would know they are on a hiding to nothing once Ivan becomes available.

Every other coach has got them by the short and curlies, sign for 3 or 4 years only no 2 year deals so it block Ivan in 2 years time.

Hi everyone. 1st time poster but been a forum observer for quite sometime. Hopefully we will all have some clarity after tonight's meeting. I cant help but think this maybe a blessing in disguise (although I'm fuming atm). If Ivan is so obsessed with his son, this will have to cause issues at some stage with the playing group. If Ivan could do this to the tigers, imagine what his future decisions could be and how everything will be based around his sons happiness. I love this club and hope whoever our coach is will be prepared to bleed for this club and have no desire to be anywhere else. Stay strong everyone, we are all feeling the same.

Hope they are adding membership refunds in

It's not good

But let's not blame this on the tiger's

Totally out of our hands

They need our support right now

This is so true and i hope everyone remembers this. The club has done an outstanding job to recover from some very bad years. They deserve nothing but credit. This was out of our hands and is pretty much the tedesco incident all over again with a good young player picking a better team with better facilities and sponsorship ie Nathan.

Im 100% behind the guys running the club.

Cheers patriot

Thanks for the backing

Although they still get bagged I think Pascoe and Go are doing an amazing job

Our club had been in chaos for years but to see the club has kept these 2 in their positions through thick and thin surely means they are doing a great job

Come on tiger's fans

Let's love this club

Even a 3 or 4 year contract runs the risk of being Griffin’d to be able to sign Ivan. What an opportunity for us to be ruthless. No mercy.

I listened to that podcast what a load of tripe, so Gould expects us to believe that something like that conversation happens and he wasnt aware of it, and even further hasnt enquired as to what was said during it??? Yeah pull the other one you muppet.

As for Cleary his position is untenable and i would go as far to say effective immediately, although i am aware we cant do that as we need to drag as much as we can out of Penrith. I believe Penrith expected this outcome and engineered it, Gus is still trying to come out smelling like roses the media will jump on the compassionate grounds bandwagon because it suits them. I dont see how as they still live together so Ivan can wipe his bum anytime.

Once again we are left with a mess unlike before not of our own doing this time however, we have players that potentially our new coach wont want and they are on hefty deals, we need to take Penrith to the cleaners anything else is unacceptable IMO.

That is one long sentence.

We all suspected it, but now we finaly have the empiricial proof – grammar nazis are assholes.

Researchers at the university of michigan have drilled down into the minds of the obnoxious pedants whom feel the need to correct everyones grammar all the time.

As part of their study they asked 83 people to analyse an email full, of erors and then evaluated their personality traits.

The results were frankly unsurprising to.

Gramar police scored low on levels of agreeability and openmindedness, and high on levels of neuroticism and conscientiousness.
\
\
\
The study also found that extraverts are more likely to overlook typos when judging a person, while introverts would negatively evaluate someones character if they’re email was full of mistakes.
\
\
Are you an English teacher, marking a students paper? Strike while the lion is hot, and correct that grammar!

You misspelt grammar in paragraph 5, Your Majesty. I know you're not the real Queen because Alan Jones is and he also has a thing for hot British Lions.

You missed "erors" in the 3 paragraph.

There's an extra vert in there as well. Can't have too many verts as a rule.

You wonder how guys like Twal, Garner, Marsters And Liddle are feeling. New coach might not care about any of them.

 Nathan is the issue here, Ivan still wipes his bum. That’s why Nathan will never leave the family home nor Penrith for that matter.
When Nathan claps his hands and calls “wipers” Ivan is ready, willing and able (scenes reminiscent of Eddie Murphy in Coming To America).
When Nathan says I’m not coming to you at the Tigers, you will come to me at the Panthers Ivan stands to attention, willing to destroy anything and anyone who gets in the way.
Both need to grow up.

That is the best example of what is going on that I have seen so far

How close do IC and NC have to be?

It's bordering on being a sickness

Like they can't live without being in each others pocket

For God's sake they need to get over each other and live

Great they are a close family but it's bordering on extremism their absolute passion to be in each other's shadow

Someone is a liar. Gould claims no one from Penrith has offered Ivan Cleary anything remotely resembling a contract, for next year or otherwise.

He tried to save Griffin but the board made him do it.

Absolutely someone is liar. I can absolutely assure you, as i said earlier when this first surfaced, Phil Gould had the board scrambling about 6 or 7 weeks ago because he decided Griffen had to go. Well scramble the board did, and pacified Gus enough for Griffen to survive…...then. This was always coming, the biggest shock for me is that Ivan has played the part he has, everything he has sold to us about culture and building and we get him at his best......wow, the guy now seems to have the backbone of a jellyfish.

I also don't see why Ivan has a tough family decision to make, the Wests Tigers already made it for him.....the answer is no Ivan.

If you have Gus' nuts in your hand just squeez them as hard as you can.
Make the slime bag cough up cash and a few GOOD players not the rejects he offered before.

That would be ideal

Great 1st post

Welcome to the forum

I don’t balme Ivan for loving his son lol

It sounds like everyone is angry at him for caring about his son too much - obviously Nathan is his number one priority over his job I get that and I’m hoping that’s the case for everyone on this forum - the fact people are saying it’s becoming a sickness because they’re obesessed and all they’re going off aren’t Nathan who is like 21 still living at home

Only thing I have a problem with is him wanting to do it ASAP and not honouring his contract and trust with his players - obvs something delving deeper

I have nothing against him for loving his son, nothing at all, I would kill every soul on the planet earth for mine! That said, this is business, and if we dont walk away in a better position because of it, then this club will never thrive…
