It won’t happen the longer this drags out the more coin they will have to offer. Don’t do anything hold him to his contract.
 
The club should not release him unless whatever Penrith offer us for him puts us in a better position than we would be in with him. We have the power. We better use it.

For once.To be fair I do have faith in Pascoe and co.What If Ivan does stay and Nathan comes our way.Then Gus will look like the fool.
 
Simple solution

Put Ivan on the bench for 2 years and get a new coach. It will cost us but it will show we are not soft and will not be bullied by the Penrith Fat Cat

I doubt it, Wests Tigers have an extraordinary board meeting tonight brought on to discuss the Ivan contractual issue. I don’t think anyone from the Panthers is on the board of Wests Tigers!!

If Ivan is the type of Guy that likes to have everything sorted before he speaks i don't think we will hear from him until papers are signed.

The board meeting tonight will be one of two things. Release him for $$$ or contract extension (Wishful thinking)

I still hold out hope that they come out with "Ivan extends contact at the Tigers"

Whilst Ivan has crawled back to Penrith with cup in hand I’m sure Pasco has an axe to grind there and won’t rest until revenge has been exacted.

Totally agreed with you phil….regardless of what cleary decides...his position now is untenable the fact he has met with penrith while he was contracted here till 2020....has lost him respect from the fans....i can only imagine the thoughts of the playing group and his relationship with pascoe will be shot

That's right. I'm going to Canberra this weekend to support the club and cheer our players on!
 
If we dont let Ivan go, he wont be going to Penrith in 2 years time. That's almost guaranteed.

Penrith have a premiership window and they wont waste it by appointing an interim coach for 2 years, treading water while waiting for Ivan to come back. They will appoint someone high profile and it will necitate a long term deal.

So if Ivan stays here, Nathan probably comes accross too, and we continue with the rebuild of the club.

Lets just hope the board has both the forsight and the balls to see this off.
