Ivan's team to tackle cows

What is everyone expecting with his first team that he announces? I'm really looking forward to seeing what team he names today.
He's been watching on from behind the scenes he must have seen what we all here have. Will he weld the axe or not?

Reserves fought back to beat the undefeated Bears at NSO down 16-6 with 12 to go….Liddle Rankin Hunt Edwards Felise Tatola Eisenhuth and apart from Heleta letting 1 ball bounce standouts...

No Changes tho..

Can't see him making any changes. Will probably give them all a chance to prove they deserve to stay in the team.
I expect next week to be different story though

Would like to see Liddle Partner MCKillrick.

Just do some tweaking on positions - put suli in the and idris on opposite centres, and push naiqama out to the wing.

He cant replace anyone. There is no one to replace with. Reserves are going just as bad as 1st grade…

That may be so but unless we make changes we certainly aren't going to improve.
We keep doing the same thing and we'll keep getting the same results.

Dont expect to many changes, but from next week i would think he will start to play around with the team.

My thoughts as well

Liddle will be in for Ballin, can't see any other changes. I would like to see Moses at 7 and Rankin at 6…but doubt it will happen. Sorry to say it but we do not have 17 players capable of beating the Cows, but I do expect plenty of effort

Dont know what a difference a week makes IMO but I think we have to take the best team possible to Townsville. If Ivan wants to make a statement I think it starts right about now whilst he's picking the team right now.
I really believe wing centre half and second row need changes. But whatever team he delivers I will be interested how we go.

I doubt we will either SC…. but it's basically the same team bar Idris/Simona McIlwrick/Halatau that did last year at Leichhardt...

It would be a miracle tho... but Blue Moons do happen...

Liddle was good in ISP last week..

I doubt there will be any surprises this afternoon but just imagine if a 21 squad like this were named:

1 Tedesco
2 Nofo
3 Idris
4 Suli
5 Hunt
6 Moses
7 Littlejohn
8 Woods
9 McIlwrick
10 Sue (20 minutes of high impact and then another 20 minutes at the end of the game, after a 40 minute rest)
11 Chee Kam
12 JJ Felise/ Tatola
13 Aloiai

14 Liddle
15 Taylor
16 Ava
17 Grant

18 Tatola/ Felise
19 Heleta
20 Lawrence
21 Lovett

Geo, I know mate I was at that game and was probably the best game they have played in years, but i am afraid they have gone backwards big time this year. Just to many reserve graders coming up against a very good side. I am expecting them to have a dig and show more than they have over the past month but they will still come second and by a margin

Yeah agree with most on here, I don't know why he'd make any major changes.. Would only be substituting players who were injured etc. He's barely been with the squad a couple of days…. and I'm sure will give them all the opportunity to prove their place under his watch.

I hope he drops Kev and Idris brings MCK and Suli into the centres with Justin Hunt on the wing.

I think Hunt deserves a spot there somewhere even if he played in the halves. He's got more skill and probably quicker than JLJ.

I cant imagine too many changes at all from IC this week. I would think he has laid down the challenge to every player though.

The changes that need making are obviously in the centres and right side defence, plus the lack of bench impact (I think Grant has got to go and Felise comes in). JLJ just isn't up to it and I would give Hunt a chance, moving Moses to half (defending in closer to the middle). I watched Suli closely and not sure he is ready to play centre - I believe MCK is the best option with Idris although neither are sharp enough really. Also I'd have Liddle on the bench and wouldn't hesitate to bring him on in the last 20 mins of each half and still use MM as a backrower if needed at the same time. I can see both of them working together, MM defends well and can find a gap running with the ball - worth trying to keep the opposition guessing a bit. We need to take the focus off Moses in every play.

Forwards and Bench
8\. Woods
9\. MM
10\. Ava
11\. Lawrence
12\. Aloiai
13\. Taylor

14\. Sue
15\. JJ Felise
16\. Tatola
17\. Liddle
