Read also suggested that Mansour was on the radar of the West Tigers due to ambiguity surrounding Josh Addo-Carr’s return to Leichhardt.

Addo-Carr has already signed an agreement to re-join the Sydney based club for the 2021 season should he be released by the Melbourne. However, there were suggestions earlier in the week that the speedster may stay with the Storm.

Wests Chairman Lee Hagipantelis claimed he had been in contact with Addo-Carr’s management and that the deal was still likely to proceed, irrespective of innuendo.

“We understand that Josh’s intention is subject to a release from Melbourne to return to Sydney,” Hagipantelis said.

“The ball remains fairly and squarely with Melbourne. It seems that every story is somehow brought back to the Wests Tigers in some way, shape or form. The fact is we’re turning things

where is this from?

I tracked to Ed Carmine, Zerotackle.
I quoted them once before on here and had 7 posters say their articles weren’t to be trusted. Has that now changed??

I would have hoped the Chairman learned his lesson when he came out opened his mouth about LM. Obviously hasn’t learned.

You’re expecting a litigation lawyer to not say anything in defence of the club?

Heres a tip for all the blokes spitting their lollies about JAC and his football quality....
Firstly there would be absolutely no one doubting the skillset the guy has and the level he has achieved...a winger is not the most important position on the team it is a part of THE TEAM...If you have a brilliant winger such as JAC and he doesnt get the ball much during the game, then possessing all the speed and skill wont help score the points if the rest of the team doesnt do their job...
That is why nearly all the successfull clubs have a well constructed and consistently on the field SPINE..they make the plays they back up and they control the team around the park and give the wingers ball through calls when kicking or set plays..
Its a team sport and to win each has to do there job,JAC would be good but he cant win games if the rest werent out there with him....

Exactly why aren’t Melbourne not coping the compassion card and we still coping it.

I don't know why someone downvoted you mate, but well said.
An upvote from me. Fingers crossed whoever fills our spine this year can come good.

Wouldn't it be good to see Brooksy doing short little chip kicks for the Fox though (ala like he used to with Tedesco). And as you said, that would take two to tango.

These so called ‘dirt hitups’ are a blight on rugby league. Wingers are being de-skilled. Give me a winger any day with the pace to be put into the clear and sprint 60 or. 70 metres to score. If you don’t have genuine pace you have no business being on the wing.

I agree. I speculated in an earlier post regarding Ken Irvine that as wingers have got bigger and stronger they have been sacrificing some pace in order to make the "dirty hit-ups".

Ken Irvine was only 5ft 8in and 78 kilos. He won a professional spring race over 100 yards in 9.3 seconds. Coincidentally Mike Cleary, who played for Souths in the 1960s, won a bronze in the Perth Commonwealth Games 100 yards timed at 9.3 seconds also.

It's hard to believe that with all the improvements in sports science and training methods over the past 60 years, no-one would get close to them today.

So I agree. The game is less of a spectacle with wingers doing the work of forwards, but most lacking the blistering pace of the old timers.

Good to hear someone who can explain things quite well and in layman terms.I think we're in good hands with Lee.

I have heard our chairman Lee speak a few times and each time I am impressed. He seems extremely passionate but also realistic and very business smart. Seems to command a good level of respect as well. Fingers crossed he is all over JAC contract 🤞

I thought his comments were interesting on a "heads of agreement" or what ever people want to call them, are legally binding.

Mansor would have to be going to the dogs. Would be a gr8 signing for them. A franchise player that would appeal to the fan base. Would be like a reincarnation of El masery. Hope we get the fox

Thanks mate...
Just listened to it and he is such a professional and great for our club. Sure made me feel a little better and have fingers crossed.. Sounds like we are waiting on Storm to make up there mind but i think all there focus is on Smith and Belly at the moment and rightly so..
He sounded confident regarding the contract stuff or Heads of Agreement.
I just want this to be over so we can all move on..

Offering Melbourne a player doesn't guarantee JAC's signature anyway. If South's want him and he wants to go there us giving a player to Melbourne is idiotic. They either release him to play on compassionate grounds or they don't.

Spot on.

we would not give a player up unless he agreed to come to us and no one else.. I know we have done some stupid stuff in the past but no way this would happen....
