This is gold. He wants to come here and the club has said we can't do a deal. This is exactly how the club should handle the situation.

I really want to get him but as a club we have to start handling these negotiation professionally. This trade/swap is not our problem.

Sorry , that is why it is taking so long , as Souths trying to free up space . Can’t confirm anything just throw the aboriginal grape vine .

I have noticed the backs they tried to move on did not appear to be in the clique. I have never thought the Foxx would return to WT, but I admire Hartigan and Madge for staying at the table. Despite what a circus LM created, he was honestly wanting to play FB.

The deal needs to get done. Keep delaying and Souths will have the cash. That 17yr old, a retirement here or there and it’s a deal done over tgere

Give storm Talau for JAC

I would....but that is based on a massive assumption that Talau wants to go there. These players are people not cattle.

This is not good for us. The longer he’s not signed the longer other clubs have to free up salary cap and steal him. If it gets to November 1 all the teams will be able to sign him, we can’t compete with roosters and Souths. Just give them someone we make sure we get him, why risk losing our biggest signing in a decade.

I was confident we had him, now I know it’ll go into pre season and we won’t get him.

The only outside back I wouldn’t give them is Nofa. Give them anyone else they want because they won’t be as good as JAC anyway.

It's actually very good for us based on that article. It's not our problem to give the Storm a player unless it suits us and the player. The player has to want to go and the Storm have to want that player on the dollars that we are paying him.

We need to make it clear that we won't play these games. We will get other players. I still think we get JAC but if he goes to Souths that is fine. Souths can play the same game with the Storm.

The problem is we can’t compete with the other clubs. He will not choose us over Souths or roosters and if we don’t sign him soon they will have a crack at him

We can’t be happy to just let him go he could be the most important signing the clubs made in 10 years. It looks likes they’ll have to find their replacement elsewhere but that’s a big risk for us to take

If we take him at his word that he wants to play full back, then why would he choose Easts or Souths ?

That is, unless he is not fair dinkum about playing full back, then you'r right, why would he choose us ?

We don't need another Laterell circus. Give JAC until the end of October to sign with us or withdraw offer and use money to entice Staines and Burton

He wants fullback money and he can get it playing on the wing at Souths or Roosters. Politis/Crowe would make sure he got paid.

It’s not JAC that’s holding up the negotiations, it’s the clubs. Melbourne want a replacement and we don’t want to give them one, obviously They’ve not had much luck elsewhere either

Let them keep Momo and give them Esso to play with Brother. They can have Marshall as well

He is not our most important signing in a decade, he's a winger. Our most important/heralded was Josh Reynolds and now we are making him feel bad*, trying to offload him at every turn. Spine players and forward leaders are the important ones. The rest are window dressing.

* didn't want to get "joshed", so self edited 🙂

Who would we not trade?

We shouldn't have to trade anybody.

Too difficult, If he wants to come so bad, we can do it for 2022.

Shouldn't have to, but he is going to walk into any rep team that he qualifies for next year, you can't say that about any of our current backs. Surely we havn't given up on 2021 yet.

On the open market we’d be no chance. He will have far more attractive options for ‘22 come November. This is our shot.
