Rothfield saying dogs are emerging as favourites to sign JAC

Don’t think it’s really what they need to target buy would really suck if we missed him. Once again we won’t know what’s true until there’s any official announcements

If we lose out to the dogs, serious questions need to be asked, and people moved on from their positions, but good old Buzz likes to put us down, so he may be making crap up

They’ve got cash to splash but they certainly don’t need another big money outside back they need halves and a hooker.

My point is they are a basket case and nearly got the spoon, we should be a far better option as a club

They are definitely trying to offload DWZ, who has been absolutely terrible for them. Madge went hard after him last time, but hopefully we are not dumb enough to take him now. If they offload him, that would enable them to get JAC I guess.

Unfortunately we’re not much better, another failed year. Weve has drama every year for as long as I can remember

His form dipped as soon as he went there, before that he was playing well. He’s on crazy money too. He’s no fullback though that’s for sure so don’t see us getting another winger

He is a really poor FB.

Average to good winger. We dodged a bullet when we did not get him last time.

Addo-Carr has already confirmed that the grand final will be his final game for the Storm, who he joined in 2017 after making his first NRL appearances for Wests Tigers. He could return there next season, with South Sydney another potential home for 2021.

I agree. We’re better off with Nofa and AJ

Guess that means he’s got a release. Now to figure out which club he’s going to I hope there’s an announcement ASAP

Wonder if @CCTW or @THE_POM have anything on JAC to the Bulldogs. Doubt it’s true though. Apparently JAC has already agreed to terms with us

I agree. We will offer him first crack at fullback on wZeeasonable money. Think hed take it.

Rothfield wouldnt have a clue. As said previously they need a 6,7 and 9 before worrying about ano ther back. DWZ is on 800k probably so having addo car on 600k+ will put a strain on getting quality halves.

and they also just splashed out on cotric....JAC wouldn't be a priority.....think Rothfield has been into the vanilla essence again

Ethan Lowe has retired, means Souths have more Money for JAC.

Like clock work.
Said it from the beginning they will retire him, have cash available and sign JAC.

I can't find anywhere that says he was medically retired. It would be a rort if he was because he has had neck injuries as far back as 2016. So its definitely pre existing injury so begs the question of what happens to their salary cap considering he is signed to the end of 2021.

Medically retired or retired. He retired
Clockwork

For Souths to get an exemption of his salary on the cap next year the NRL has to approve a medical retirement. His injuries were prior injuries so they should not be approving a medical retirement. If he just retires the NRL should just say tough luck - carry his salary next year. And start waffling on with whats happened in the past with Inglis and Burgess as all i'm pointing out is that under the rules that are not entitled to write off his contract for next year. We will just have to wait and see if the NRL bow down to them like thay have before.

Gotta wonder about our operations when other clubs slam us in the media.
Usually clubs are fairly tactful and diplomatic with each other in these scenarios....

"We have spoken to the club he wants to go to and inquired about a couple of players and they've fobbed us off," Donaghy said.

"It is their prerogative but it's not helpful in trying to achieve an outcome for Josh.

I don’t know about that. Sounds a bit like sour grapes. They want someone of similar ability and I suspect Nofo was their target. A little unprofessional from the young Melbourne CEO if you ask me.

Nofo and Talau were the targets.

By the sounds of it he wanted to go to souths
But souths rejected Melbourne's offer of a trade for Camble Graham

So who was Addo-Carrs preferred destination
Tigers or Souths
If its souths 1st then we may be used as a stepping board for Addo-Carrs way to souths
And that won't be good

Annoying thing is even if they have to account for it it’s far less than Burgess and Inglis.
