Pretty much the same pack that got owned most weeks this year.

I think our pack improves next year. Stefano and Musgrove will add much needed impact off the bench. we should have a very dangerous back row pairing if Blore has a big preseason. Tamou will have one starting spot and Aloiai and Twal should build on what were good seasons this year. still missing a tearaway that will go to war with the opposition, but for the most part I think we're doing ok.

2 of them are unknowns though, you can't back on them

Hope that Blore comes good and as he is only signed for this coming season, expect that he will put in over the off-season and perform to lift his market value. He did look to be out of puff rather quickly, though as he was returning after a long-term injury and no lower grades, I suppose he can be forgiven.

Edit; Sorry, just realised this was the JAC thread, but he, or at least discussion on him seems to gave disappeared.

That’s a long time ago.

I think our biggest hurdle to get JAC is the NSW team.... Starting with Fittler and his so called "Brothers" in his ear about been on a club like Souths with unlimited Salary cap and incentives..
If its not done early next week that for me means its very unlikely as @THE_POM said we were trying to get him for 2022 so the Storm cannot stop that from happening. If he wants to come back and has agreed to sign a contract as advised it should happen next week. Fingers crossed..
Thought I would add something about JAC to the tread.

I was informed yesterday that all the staff and players from 2016 have gone though.

I like the look of him aswell but every year someone says our pack is looking good for the following year based on rookies added to the team.

Yeah, pair that with his recent quotes and you’d have to say he is keen to head back to the tigers. Although, players staff etc may have changed slightly.

“I probably would return,” Addo-Carr said.

“I wouldn’t say no to a Melbourne Storm contract. I love that club.

“I’ll definitely miss the Storm, especially all the boys.

“I’ve got a really good relationship with everyone at the club and I’ll always be a part of that club and have that connection with the club.

“I’ve got lifelong friends now, so it is a win-win for me.

“For now, I’m looking forward to getting back to Sydney.

“I’ve made this decision for my family

“Everyone knows my I wanted to move back, and I’ve been away from them for so long know as well.”

Re: JAC
Trent Barrett on Triple M today said it was a complicated one and didn't think it wo uuld be resolved anytime soon.
Didn't sound that confident.
Not sure how it's complicated when he can sign on for 2022 next week.
Surely things fall into place after that.

Its complicated because his 1st preference is Souths and whether they can find room for him.

I think our starting pack improves. Something like:

8 Tamou
9 Liddle
10 Mikaele
11 Luciano
12 Garner
13 Twal

14 Stefano
15 Aloiai
16 Blore
17 Musgrove

Mcintyre, Seyfarth, Chee Kam and Packer as back ups. Its a solid pack but really lacking quality depth in the backrow once some injuries hit like they did this year. Think you may find one of those props move into the back row potentially. We are really 1-2 backrowers short, but have a host of props in Mikaele, Tamou, Steafno, Aloiai, Musgrove, Packer and Twal (Is ore a prop tbh).

We need another big second rower

Probably because he pulled out from our offer.

Its JAC... whoever he joins wants he wants then to sign him for next season not the one after. This means player swap has to happen. For that to happen the other player has to agree and has to be wanted by the Storm.

We can offer him a deal for 2022 but thats not what JAC wants. The storm also wouldn’t have an issue with him playing another year for them (they did it this year).

It’s not about money hence why its complicated

There was a short interview with JAC on the ABC news this morning .

He spoke about looking forward to moving back to Sydney and playing full back. He said he played full back through the juniors and was confident of making a success of it.

So, if he really is serious about playing full back in Sydney, that rules out most clubs. Probably between us and the Dogs.
