I’ve been told the deal is dead in the water. He will go back to the Storm and sign with the Rabbits in 2021.

No one to blame but management for that one. If we can’t land a big signing in 2022 we are screwed

Please explain how you come to that conclusion, with actual verifiable information.

He gave us a heads of agreement apparently, ready to come here all we needed to do was make a deal with Melbourne. We refuse, he stays at Melbourne or goes somewhere else and he never plays for us. It’s us that refused to play ball

We just did what the Storm and Roosters have been doing for years. Held our ground.

We offerer him the fullback spot. If hes not interested than so be it.

He was interested?!!!!! We couldn’t get the deal done? Roosters are ruthless they would’ve given Melbourne a rookie if they wanted JAC. Look what they did to Pearce and Flanagan

If he was interested he would have signed mate, simple.

Erm he needs a release champ. Pretty simple buddy. He can’t sign when he’s contracted ?

If Melbourne wanted Lucy or Doueihi, you'd let them go for a winger?

They want an outside back. I wouldn’t be against giving them Doueihi, it would be a massive upgrade.

10 years of incompetence ? if we could make finals every so often and hold onto a coach for more than two years we could probably sign a few more players

I think it’s more how ‘Rutheless’ melbourne are here, if there is a lesson to take out of al this.
Having that sook Matterson in our side this year may of just pushed us into the 8. Not to mention would of made of us a lot stronger going into next season.
And it’s always said JAC is being a good sport his honouring his deal and not making a fuss, maybe that the mindset Melbourne have managed to get into their players.
There is no way JAC should be in my opinion playing for Melbourne in 2021 ‘if he legitimately has a family reason’ but yet it seems like he is...

It is disappointing. I was worried because he is mates with Mitchell that a similar thing to last year would happen again, and it looks like it might have.

But if we had the cash to sign JAC, that means we have the cash to sign someone else in a similar cash bracket, so hopefully whoever that is makes a good difference to our side.

Anyway we’ll see what happens. Plenty of off season left for what I’m sure will be plenty more drama 😂

I hope that if we do miss JAC we don’t do something silly and feel like we have to spend the money on someone. Just hold it unless there’s someone good available

You’ve had this opinion and never had any proof as to why you think this. It seems to me you are just assuming. Plenty of good sources have said the opposite

Thank you fellow forum readers and posters, as this make my off season so much more enjoyable watching supporters turn on each other in the sake of not knowing whether a player is signing with us or not.

I love reading how he could be joining us only to see Souths or the Bulldogs emerge as his chosen club. We then see the DT state were dead in the water only to be favorite's again, whereas today were for his body language to possibly state he is not signing or playing poker and has signed.

I especially love if he was to read the forum whereby he is held in such high regard when he was mooted as signed to be dead to us when he is mooted to be going elsewhere all without him saying anything nor the club releasing a single word.

I would love to see him come to the Tigers as it would be a great signing and I think he would be dynamic at Full Back. Only time will tell and we have plenty before the next season kicks off and he has three weeks of Origin to focus on.

Mate, he could have signed with us yesterday for 2022, if he wanted.

It seems that he did not, because he doesn't want to.

2022 is a long way away. He would be stupid to sign for any club for 2022 right now. That doesn’t mean he didn’t want to sign for 2021

He didn't

You’ve had this opinion and never had any proof as to why you think this. It seems to me you are just assuming. Plenty of good sources have said the opposite

And they were wrong

I can’t believe people are so fine with missing out on good players. Clearly a decade of failure has become the norm and people are used to it

I for one don’t like it when we miss signings

This whole narrative of him not wanting to be here is rubbish as well he gave us a heads of agreement, it was Melbourne not releasing him. He literally couldn’t sign a contract because we couldn’t do a deal with Melbourne is what the reports are saying

It’s just better this way mate ..
It really is !
#stressfreesemis

?? I will stress all season anyway. Stupid club that I love always makes sure I’m stressing even though I know they suck ?

If they want an outside back give them Russell Packer. He’s no slower than the vast majority of our backs and just as sound laterally when defending. Kill two birds with one stone.
