The cumulative impact of losing Koroibete, Simona, JAC has been underestimated. Imagine a WTs' backline with those three players present. There us no substitute for genuine pace and the ability to finish. Any club would suffer from these losses.

Recruitment at its worst. Just one of them stayed would be good. Except simona imo he shouldn’t be talked about as a loss

Simona should not be talked about period... just an absolute LOWLIFE.

....and he wasn't that good either.

Rubbish. Simona was a very good footballer. He made some poor decisions but is entitled to forgiveness.

Simona was an excellent player. Just a terrible person

He had a gambling addiction - not sure that equates to being a terrible person. He made some bad choices related to that but he has paid a heavier price for his errors - more so than most players who have done wrong.

I agree. He had so much talent.

Selling non existent signed jerseys to the highest bidder and pressuring women to get abortions isn’t really a quality human being IMO.

Edit: didn’t he also bet on first try scorers he was marking?

He was a gun

I remember in about 2016 that stats wise Simona was our most important player I.e our winning percentage with him v without him was higher then any other player ( Teddy, woods, Farah etc)

I recall the try at Leichhardt scored by Koroibete in the north west corner. Sironen poked through the Cowboys defence to pass to Simona who held the ball long enough to free Koroibete for a great run down the left touchline. It was great play and Thurston was there to try to stop Koroibete. Sad that non of the trio are with WTs.

I reckon this is a bit harsh. He was just out of control and made a mistake. Compare that to players beating up people and raping women ?

Why are we so focused on other clubs? South’s didn’t sign JR, RP and MM.

They’re playing the game well. Wish we were doing the same.

Well, we tried.

Then the media cried player welfare cause you can't turf players.

And we don't have the people around the club to pay them off to go away quietly like Souths.

100%. But that’s not south’s fault. We need to up our game. I couldn’t care less if we cheated the hell out of the comp. I just want to win for once (or just be competive ie finals)

Agree.... Unfortunately the NRL go over anything we do with a fine tooth comb and still to this day cannot believe the punishment we got for the Farah offer.. If that was a Souths / Roosters it would not of even been an issue.. We lack a powerful person with money that can wine and dine the NRL power brokers..

This is what bugs me the most.
As WT supporters we may suffer from a fair share of frustration and heartbreak...and sometimes delusion. We are also somewhat loyal to a fault.
We will always be combative when the club is mistreated and whatnot, but it doesn't mean we can't distinguish or differentiate when there's an apparent bias for other clubs from journalists, media personalities and the NRL.
Our blunders or management have nothing to do with the special treatment of other clubs.
All administrative or retention/recruitment errors may not be water under the bridge just yet but the constant focus on it is a little unnerving. While I know it contributes to our high profile in the news, I don't agree with the comment that it's good reason for us to be so heavily targeted.
The same goes with comments about overturning the onfield performing.
We all know this and ideally want this, yet it may just be possible that the team may not improve in this aspect for years.

i still don't see the issue with loaning Noff for 1 year to Melbourne and sign JAC and Noff on a long term deal. I just wonder if the loan deal with impact the 10 year discount we get

They don't want a year loan - they want a SWAP - that means it is permanent, we don't get the player back.

**+** paying top dollar. That is not a good deal, it is stupidity tig.

wouldn't the swap be for the exact number of years that JAC is contracted for?

No, they want the player (whoever?) for good.

For all the Momo fans.....why wouldnt the storm be happy to keep him? Is it because he is crap?

Couldnt believe our luck when he was part of the Grant swap.

*Disclaimer - have never thought Momo a first grader. And confirming Storm obviously dont either.

How can a player just be released from a contract without another club to go to? If he was sacked that is one thing but released to play somewhere else that just opens up opportunity for wroughting the cap. Surely he can't play somewhere else without South's being responsible for part if the cap? Or is he planning to take a year off - also relieving South's of cap space?

If he and the club agrees to cancel the contract they can. Mutual decision

Hey Roberts

Supposedly he is under contract to us for 21/22 - Storm don't get a look in, same as we don't with Grant.

You may not, I consider he is a first grader.

Usually agree with you 100% - but not this time.

Gambling addictions are hideous and destroy lives and yet our governments profit off it. You tell me who is worse.
