hoping we get JAC he was great in origin last week would be good for us we need the big signing and he would look good at fb for us next year.

JAC , Chrichton, Tamou , Stefano , Gebbie ,and upgrade the youth , resign McIntyre and seyfarth and I’m very OK with that off season.
If that’s not a huge upgrade on what we trudged our last year I’m not here .

Thursday is ultimately D-Day for this whole situation. Addo-Carr's management jumped at the 4 year deal offered & thought it was honestly going to be the best deal $$ wise & also the length was just added security, but now there seems to be a few clubs (yes Rabbits) that have come in going we can offer you this much more but only from 2022, this is where the doubt it coming from, all stuff in the media is coming from his management. I have no doubt in my mind what so ever if the deal was revised & money was raised the headlines would change & he will be a Tiger in 2021.
I think he knows how much his reputation would suffer if he decided to stay in Melbourne considering the whole song & dance being made about him waiting to leave for family reasons.

Do you think we will revise our deal in order to get him for 2021?

Yes but will depend on exactly how much more $$ will be required to get him over the line.
There's also the principle fact he agreed to the original deal & now wants to change it.

If it takes a little extra to get him over the line I have absolutely no problem with that.

The key word being little, as we apparently put a fair deal forward and he agreed to same. Don't like it, play in Melbourne and WT move on to other pieces of the jigsaw that get us closer to completing our puzzle.

I don't see us having the salary cap space to get JAC and Crichton for 2021, I'd say Crichton is more of a possibility for 2022 once Packer and Reynolds have stopped crippling our cap (or for 2021 if JAC doesn't go ahead).

Can the tigers go to meeting and say prove you have another offer on the table and we will try and match it or is it not the done thing

Solution make him Fullback and Captain.
Nil Performance incentives and up the original offer.

Prodigal son returns
We wander for opportunities but we play for family.

In reality see the deal could go 50/50 lets see how our WT CEO/Coach/GM handle themselves with negotiations.
At least we will know by weeks end and we either Sign very good player or we miss out again and questions need to be asked why we cannot attract quality players.

Make him Captain - are you serious???? Sheesh.

Can't be any worst that Mybe - Sheesh Back Russell

It all depends what carrot you have to dangle to get him.
He may not want the Captaincy but stroke the players ego also sometimes works.

I am offering suggestions not negativity, Cheers.

JAC could argue that the HOA was a restraint of trade. Contracts mean nothing in the NRL....thanks $BW 🤦‍♂️

If Brydens put the HOA together you can bet it was properly drafted, compliant with all relevant laws and judging by the way it seems to have warned off the Dogs and others thus far, more than likely enforceable. Contracts work if the parties are prepared to enforce their rights. If you aren't prepared to defend those rights you deserve everything you get.

Restraint of trade?? He has only just signed it.
Are you thinking someone has offered him a better deal, not sure you can break it for that reason, once you've signed and the club who/if they have tried to coerce him to break it would have an issue.
We still don't know what is happening yet anyway, as we are all still in the dark.

unless the contract is in the players favour.......

I think Lee knows what he is doing.

Don’t doubt it.

My point is that if a player wants to move on (matterson for example) contracts don’t matter. However If a club wants to move someone on (Reynolds, packer) contracts matter. All tongue in cheek.

I have read heaps of rhetoric in regards to JAC....only he and his manager know where Jac will be in 21/22...its all speculation and inuendo at the moment ...take it from some one who knows ...the players future in a club he feels he will be best at for the next amount of years and the money he earns is first and foremost...all the rest of us can speculate, agree.disagree and argue...but until it is officially declared then non of us know any better...
in my honest opinion JAC always wanted to be with the brotherhood I wont change my opinion ,as much as many would love JAC at our club,it is ultimately in his hands and I will say Souths has the upper hand atm..

I wonder what us chasing Daine Lawrie from Panthers is all about... He plays fullback and that where JAC wants to play... This could be a LM / AD all over again but with a rookie.
I hope not but weird time for this to surface

It's quite smart in my opinion. Josh Addo-Carr is no specialist fullback but will be given the opportunity if he is to end up at WT in 2021. At the moment we have no depth in the fullback position. Dylan Smith was playing in CC. He is now gone , Smith for Laurie is a big win. It looks to be that Adam Doueihi will be given the crack at the number 6 jumper. In order to not disturb too much as we did this year, you dont want him moving from 1 and 6 continuously when you can have someone come straight in who has been playing in the lower grades.

Could be looking at him as a 6 too.
