If we were to sign Mansour, can only imagine that AJ would go to fullback with AD moving to 6. AD is better suited to 6.

AJ has hands like feet i cant see him going to fullback unless he learns how to catch. Could you imagine him under a spiral bomb, he struggles to catch a regulation pass.

This year was trying to find his feet. I think he's a keeper.

I think he found them...on the end of his arms!

All jokes aside, I like the kid and think he’s a keeper also.

I usually try to be nice but it literally blows my mind that some people can't see the direction the club is heading. We have literally signed most of the ousltstanding young talent coming up in both qld and nsw. We are recruiting youth not journey man. We are throwing our hat in the ring for some of the most dynamic young players in the game.
These have not happened for us in 10 years.

Stop thinking because we try and don't get its a failure. You can't force someone to play here but we are having a real shake.

The young talent is great - but guess what, they are unproven and just potential at this time.

And guess what, we have been a 'potential' side for too long. We keep waiting for this so called potential to be met, but it never does.

Understand that it's this frustration that is leading to this reaction.

We placed great offers to LM and JAC (both more than they got) and couldn't land them - so what does it say about star players perception of our club?

It says exactly what we know we are not a destination club. So how do you change that? New coach, tried that, new staff, tried that, new management tried that, new sponsors, tried that, new training set up, trying that.

So what's the answer all you amazing tacticians have, what's the answer? You all love a whinge find solutions. How would you have gotten jac over the line.

Players aren't coming here because of the coach and yet apparently we've offered him a 2 year extension as a reward for going even further backwards. Craig Fitzgibbon is highly regarded and players will respond to him so I'd be looking at him for 2022 if not sooner

Buzz Rothfield warning
“ The reason for Josh Addo-Carr’s backflip on quitting Melbourne Storm was about two things – money and the fact he didn’t want to play for the Wests Tigers.
Storm agreed to upgrade the final year of his contract by an extra $140,000 to bring him into line with the NRL’s highest-paid wingers. He is now on what he could have earned if he’d played for the Wests Tigers.
Deep down, the Blues winger didn’t want to play under Michael Maguire at Wests.
He could only get out of the deal by staying at the Storm and postponing the move back to Sydney.
When he eventually returns in 2022, it will be at the South Sydney Rabbitohs or the Canterbury Bulldogs.”

Your constant critisism of Madge is at least consistent. i honestly cant agree with you when you state "Players aren't coming here because of the coach".It is quite likely that there are many factors at play not just your whipping boy

This situation reminds me of the Raiders a few years back. There were questions over Sticky who had previously won a title, recruits backed out of deals... Soon after they turned it around... Where there is light there is hope. I am still trusting in Madge.

The coach of Cronulla, Rothfield's pet team, is in immensely more trouble than other coach in the competition. How are they going with luring players to their team?

And he said he wasn't interested in a fair few jobs but hey him like the star studded players in the comp would come cause we asked right?

Agree it’s too soon to consider fullback talk. But he looks very promising.

If you remember Brett Morris was written off early in his career due to questionable hands.

I put AJ’s down to jitters. He got better each game.

It's funny isn't it

Elite players haven't been signing with us forb20 years but let's blame the coach that has been here for 2 and replace him with an untried coach that will make 5 coaches in 9 or 10 years
