Phil - The dogs. He signed that heads of agreement and was over the line. Dogs came in late with big money, so he went back to the storm requesting to see out his contract so he could take up the Dogs deal.

Now same thing is happening to them with Cheese. All but done, but now other clubs coming in hard, after his manager advised he was on the market

But our deal was bigger than the Dogs. One would think if he was chasing money, he would choose Tigers

Happy we didn’t pay overs for JAC, prefer the money spent addressing other parts of the team. Don’t need JAC.

I repeat,i think the Tigers withdrew from negotiations.

TBH, I wouldn’t have mind having him, but not to be, so we move on.

Regardless of how much who offered more, this is nothing but a huge L for recruitment and the club in general. We definitely could’ve offered what the dogs did at any time and we even had a prior agreement with him. The club is such a basket case something made him go back completely on what he said and stay in Melbourne for another year and then sign with a club who’s finished in the bottom 4 in the last 3 years. Bulldogs are moving in the right direction and we’re still talking to handicaps like Widdop and Mansour

I would have liked to have had him for 2022 but am pleased we didnt pay overs to get him.The dogs are going to be strong out wide with a powder puff pack and mediocre halves, that will never work

JAC signing with the Bulldogs for what appears less than our offer is quite frankly embarrassing for us, we have a bad stench when it comes to top line players

As stated last week fox was a done deal at the dogs.
Latest info cheese is no longer a done deal there as a bidding war has started (similar to fox and us). Dogs now looking at Mcinnes as a backup if they cant land the cheese.

They appear to be maxing their cap, how do they fit the cheese or McInness in

You have no upper limit for what you would pay a winger?

After 117 days the JAC watch officially comes to an end with no future recruitment to the Wests Tigers possible.

I wouldn’t mind betting JACs manager rang the Tigers and told them what the Bulldogs were offering from 2022 and asked if they could better it.

Tigers said, sorry, we have moved on (but you can forget the Bulldogs getting him in 2021 because we still have that HoA sitting in the bottom drawer).

We withdrew after JAC's manager made no effort to contact us re negotiations. So JAC had already made his mind up beforehand

Not true, he will be 30 when his Dogs deal runs out, we will be a red hot chance of offering him that 4 year mega deal he knocked back this time
