Does anyone really care ? From all accounts Laurie is a freak , and Roberts could be anything. I get it , he’s an elite winger , but that guy is going to the dogs to play 1 . Geez that’s a lot of money to commit to him if he’s just wearing the 5 .
I’d say the bonus don’t have the same heavy clauses around them that ours did . And the reason for the market drop , is because we pulled out , so it was a race of 1 .

I care a bit, would have liked him at the club.

I care like as if when I go the pub and ask what beer they have on tap , and it’s like all the old favourites , and thier ale is fat yak. Would it have been nice to have something like lashes or Kosciusko? Am I disappointed? Sure but whatever , I’m still about to down a tasty schooner of something tasty .

A schooner of addo carr is like an ice cold Lowenbrau in Munich, Mansour is a Tooheys Red at the cauliflower hotel in Redfern. Not all beer is the same.

Yea , but you don’t have to that tooheys red. In fact . I prefer not to . So I won’t , maybe I’ll just go without and have a nice scotch instead.
Just like JAC , the Lowenbrau in Munich is only good cause it’s at Oktoberfest and fits a certain position . When you smash it on tap somewhere else maybe it doesn’t taste the same . Maybe it tastes like bum hole .

Mansour could be scotch too, he’s old enough.

Thank god that's over.

Too much money to pay for a winger, I'd rather keep Nofa for a little more than half the price of JAC.

Nofo was apparently asking 685 or something ridiculous. Canterbury got JAC to move from Melbourne for say 550k per season. I bet we are paying Nofo more than 300k per year.

People keep throwing these figures around. A poster in another thread said he has been told by a friend who gets a lot of inside info from the dogs that the figure is closer to 3 mil over 4 years.

As someone on here said before $$$$$$.
Had to be pretty good to stay in Melbourne another year.
It’s a lot of money for an untested fullback. Maybe the dogs will have better luck with this one. They haven’t had a decent one since Patton
Like how we didn’t get in a bidding war. We have had bad luck with our panic buys

Good pick up by the dogs if price is correct , agree he comes with latrell problems and this may be a problem in the 4 years he signed for BUT please do not make everyone sign mansour or even Smith thinking we have to get a scalp. I think we are covered for hookers and need a staggs or crighton must be on our radar so lets be patient and go all in for a super star. 2022 is our time to be a premiership threat

I wonder where the dogs will play him, wing or fullback?

Have the dogs got the players to get him clean ball? He is good but I guess we will see?

if dogs do take JAC then we would have to be a good chance for Cheese
Dogs can't get both

Cheese is going the way of cordner,he puts his head in every tackle. He also only wants to go north.Plus Storm do not let players go unless there is a problem.

Let’s not kid ourselves , if that announcement today was for him joining the tigers we would all be doing high fives and dancing on the streets. I’ve been told by someone very close to the bulldogs that over 4 years there was about $600k difference in our offer of guaranteed money . Our bonuses would have brought him another $400k but he would have had to play fullback to get it. So our JAC took the guarantee rather then the challenge. Good luck to him. Hope he stinks at the dogs lol.

Drinking posts moved..

Like we can move on from Addo-Carr..good luck at the family Club

We might have been cheering today, but maybe not in 2 years if we were in salary cap trouble again and he's not getting much ball.

I'd rather we find another fast winger than pay massive money to this one with no upside.

So he went from the outhouse to the doghouse....good luck JAC...good player, but his attitude got up my nose....glad he’s not at out club actually...

Well done to the Dogs 500k a year for the Dox is smart business he’s a game breaker.

He is not getting 500k it would be well above that

It’s circa 500k. Numbers are right I’m told.

I think we need to land a big fish. We’ve had Mitchell and JAC on the line but haven’t landed either one. We need to prove to ourselves and the wider RL community that we can compete with the best. B. Smith is the next ‘big fish.’ Go get him Tigers!!

Buckley’s Steve, Buckley’s and not really what we need.

Great deal for Dogs

It’s a slap in the face he chose the Dogs over us but he most likely didn’t want to put in the hard yards as a wannabe fullback or training under Madge .

Yep big slap in the face. He’s gone to a club in a worse position than ours, with a worse coach, worse forward pack, in a worse part of Sydney, with zero Aboriginal pathways. I honestly thought he was holding out for Souths to get the money together and I wouldn’t have cared if he signed with them, at least they are a decent team, but losing out to the Bulldogs is just bloody embarrassing really. Somehow they have managed to sign 2 SOO wingers despite being a basket case of a club for the last 3 years. Unbelievable!
