It's funny to think how many teams missed his best position is 7.

Last year they were playing him as full back year before 6 wide off the ruck.

Definitely think he is now ready for the 7 and better off organising the team closer to the ruck. Really has the capability to be a top line 7. Especially if we build the right team around him. Don't see too many other players with the confidence to control a team like Jackson.

Just a general observation about Jacko....just before they left the sheds Hastings went up to Luke,spoke to him and gave him a pat on the back just to say lets go champ...
After the game Jacko went straight up to Luke and gave him a hug and pat on the back...
To me Jacko is instilling so much confidence in Luke and its starting to show in his performances..
Im going to stick to what I said last week that Jacko could be the buy of the DECADE for us....
2 weeks in a row that Hastings has been back and we are starting to look like a well drilled unit....well done team,Madge coaching staff and all involved...

Hastings gives the boys belief. Not just by what he says, but by kicking it from the sideline. By helping the opposition up of their haunches. By walking the walk. Getting the repeat sets Missed two field goals and hands the reins over to someone who has the skill set to do it with their eyes shut but struggled with confidence over 178 games.

He is tough as nails as well a few souths players got knocked on the arse trying to tackle him.. Give him the C and a new contract

This guy is class and a true leader on and off the field we have lacked..
He just consistently gets players in the right areas and demands they do there job.
BUT most of all the other players look to be happy wit this and buying in..
Amazing how a few wind will boost the morale and confidence within a club and hopefully recruitment.
I think this Brooks / Hastings is going to be long term combo with AD either in centre, Lock or FB.
So excited to have another win

Loved it when he nailed one of the sideline conversions and then turned and looked at the crowd booing him.

Looks like he should stay our main goal kicker even when AD is back.
