Jackson Hastings #251

To me it's whatever. Wally Lewis was a great organizer and he played 6. He is definitely the organizer out there compared to Brooks.
Agree - it doesn't matter.

I wasn't sure about his mentality, but for me a key moment was when his legs were taken out from behind him...he didn't lash out, he stayed calm. Acted like a guy with a stable head on his shoulders.

What I also like is he keeps things simple but effective. We don't need more Razzle dazzle...and great footwork for a big man.

We've recruited more players that are less inclined to brain snaps under pressure and it's great. Gildhart looks the same.

I really liked how he was running towards the line and throwing good passes onto people's chest. That Seyfarth try was just hard running and getting the ball to the right player on his chest.
Exactly. For every positive of Deouehi he has a tendency to step back on inside and not give ball to his centres early. Imagine of Roberts gets a big of confidence and more space?

We lose so many games from dumb plays. I was really impressed with Gildart.
In arm wrestle moments you need discipline. Would the roosters have scored if Tamou didn't torpedo in to walkers legs? Wed probably have had the ball in decent field position.
Last year the lack of discipline was insane....gildhart looks like he gets the job done, makes very few mistakes and is mentally tough.

I liked what I saw from Hastings on the field with or without the C..

You don't need a tag to be a leader..
I can see him playing 2nd fiddle to Brooks early on then take over & control the game. Looking very promising.

I totally agree. My personal preference is AD and Hastings. I reckon those two could be absolute weapons for us.

The thing is I also thought BJ and JTJ could be gun centres for us. Mind you BJ was fantastic in one trial.
Hastings is an organiser and ball player, but is not quick. AD was nowhwere close to being an organiser, and is slow. Speed is critical , and our sides have lacked it all over the field. I see the future with Madden and Brooks in the halves, and Hastings as lock.
On a separate point Nicco HYNES to be NSW 5/8.

Agree. They're still towing the company line that Brooks owns the team, Hastings is there to run and assist... I don't buy it. I don't think Brooks is capable and it will only be a matter of time until Hastings mostly steers and Brooks mostly runs.
Just admit it and move onward and up, the sooner the better.

Yeah can't agree with the Nicho Hynes statement. Then again a lot of the time with rep teams it is who you know so maybe Fitzgibbon will have a chat with his chum Freddie the imbecile and get him a gig.

The chin and the grinch from Penrith have the halves sorted for a long time.

Nicho may one day play #14 but I think they prefer Papz explosiveness from the bench.

No knock on Nicho though, he's great. Can play 1 to 7 , 9 and maybe backrow or lock if ultra necessary.
