I think that's a bit overstated regards to his ability. He's got a decent running game but at the end of the day his distribution from DH is well below NRL standard

Not making excuses but 2 knee recos and whatever other injuries probably destroyed his confidence and ability .. he essentially went 2-3 years without any footy

I think Hastings might be just the medicine Ponga needs to pull his head in and give his all at club level. Newcastle might be a smokey for a good season IMO.

I honestly don't understand O'Brien he comes across as a man child and all mistakes are someone else's fault Nathan Brown was much better for
Newcastle.

I think Newcastle will suprise a lot this year there i have no doubt obrien knows how to coach his first few years they were looking like top 4 before injury hit
