Jacob Miller to the Eels.

Point is, we don't need captain Humpty to attempt negotiations. Let him know he is in our plans and might get a shot, basically make sure he is happy and we can move on.

But I'm glad you got a laugh etc.

Well not to be negative about it, but to be clearer, humph didnt say "Miller will be with us next year" he said Miller is contracted until the end of 2013".

I guess its a small but important difference.

FWIW I am becoming a fan of Humphreys. There has been a LOT of criticism here of him lately and on the surface a lot of it appears well founded, however after listening to the man speak today and explain clearly the clubs position on all the areas of conjecture, his explanations were clear and made sense.

I think the guy is due some praise for making things happen to end the rot on many fronts. I hope he will be looked at in the future as the man what stopped the rot and averted WT falling into the abyss for years like Balmain did.

Stopped the rot?
We were travelling pretty well when he arrived….he has done some good things here, but youre overexaggerating the circumstances

I get your point Ink but I stand by what I said. By all indicators things were going well at the end of last season. We were a bees pointer away from a GF on the field, sponsorship travelling well, crowds up etc. On eyear on and there is CLEARLY something wrong with the team if not the whole organisation. Despite what many here think, none of us are privy to the details enough to really know where the problem lies but it is clear there is a problem and it needs to be fixed and address right now.

Part of what I mean by "stop the rot" is that these things, once identified can not be fixed quickly and will take a long time to turn around, not immediately. By stop the rot I am meaning act quickly now so that what ever is effecting the operations of the team or organisation is acted upon and the turn around can start and the return to good times can slowly commence of all the right decisions have been made.

So what Humphrey's has done is passed the buck to Miller and we can blame Miller if he leaves , not the fact that Sheens wouldn't give the kid a decent shot behind our full strength forward pack

Don't be surprised if Miller leaves , even with Sheens gone

"Stopped" well time will tell
It depends when it all started…as you said it wasnt long ago we were lookin good, we werent too bad when he arrived, hes improved the fiancials and sponsorship memberships greatly....but stopped the rot?
Well...for all we know theres more to come, hopefully it has stopped but I'd argue it STARTED before he arrived, but has been allowed to continue while hes been here
Culture, boys club, unnaccountability etc etc

I don't think this is the right time to be making any decisions about who comes to the club or leaves it. We need to get the coach situation sorted out first. There is so much speculation happening on this forum at the moment, and I'm not sure that it's helping anyone.

After the game today, Anasta said to Miller "Good luck with Hull next year."

Miller replied " That might not be happening now".

Read into that what you will.

Braith just asked Miller about going to Hull next year and Miller dismissed it saying he doesnt know what he's doing. Got the impression he wants to know if the new coach wants him before making any decision.

I got the impression the new coach has asked Miller to hang around… Folkes head coach (organises the defence structure) and Todd Payten assistant coach (organises the attack)
