Jacob Miller to the Eels.

I hope we keep him as the kid has bags of potential and is doing a great job in the 20's for us.

I'd be happy to see #7 alternate between Anasta & Miller next year to give Miller some solid game time but bring him on without throwing him in the deep end.

Miller is a talented player but a work in progress, there is certainly arguments for playing gim in NRL, but equally there is reasons for bringing him on slowly, he is not physically a big guy, and very few 20 year olds have the authority to push a side around, sheens not playing Miller does not mean he is not part of the click he prob just thinks that Miller needs to b brought on slowly. DCE played a whole year in Q cupafter dominating NYC

DCE had hodkinson in front of him, reynolds had sandow. we have no one. the TEAM needs miller. sheens knew he would be without a halfback for the entire season when he decided to move moltzen to 1.

i agree with many.. it's our culture which is our biggest problem we continue to treat players as bigger than the team. you can't always wait for the player to be ready. if you need the player and if there is no one better, then you pick him. that one stupid mistake may have even sabotaged our season.

Agreed, we needed a halfback. And Miller had 1 or 2 runs there when the team was struggling a bit which meant Miller was thrust into a tough gig to bring the team out of their stumbling woes. I am in no way defending Miller, but for a young guy to play FG is a big step up from NYC and I think Sheens failed to recognize that, and that he would need a few more runs out there to find his feet.
I hope that the coach next year will give him another go.

Miller = Tigers
Thurston = dogs

Very big call.

Spartan , Miller hasn't really shown me has a running game that is even close to matching Thurston

Must admit I have probably caught one out of every 2 televised games this season , but i haven't seen it the 2 years he has been here

But I reckon his kicking game (in particular long ) is as good already

I feel Humble is a genuine 7 (When he is allowed to play like one)
I also feel Waters should be given a go in 1sts!!
All we need is someone to get quality ball between Farah and Benji, And Magic is certainly capable of this.
Has an Ok kicking game (To be honest… No worse than Benjis) And his defence is good!!
Please Mr. New Coach.... GIVE HIM A GO!!
God knows what he could be with a full time contract???

I have always rated Miller but also I have always felt it was going to be a tricky one to hold onto him until he matured enough to play NRL. He came here from the Roosters because he was behind Pearce, and he is ambitious - and as all good halves are, he believes in his own ability and has loads of confidence. Unfortunately this can also lead to impatience.

Whether or not a cocky attitude did not sit well with Sheens or whether Sheens actually had a proper plan in place we may never know. But I have said before that if there actually was a plan I hoped to hell that they were communicating this to Miller because he is exactly the type of player who is likely to become impatient and take another gig that is offering him a faster track to the big time.

Right now I see him as being on the cusp of being good enough. But there is no denying he has the talent. Although only half the commentators on here can see it, almost everyone else in the rugby league world talks about it! I really hope that now Sheens is going that Miller will stay, and will be very disappointed if he leaves after serving a fair bit of apprenticeship here.

Interesting that a lot of people were saying Ben barba should have been in first grade when he was in the 20s - yet Kevin Moore brought him along slowly until he was ready - worked out ok

Would have liked Miller to stay at the Tigers but have heard he is moving on after the NYC grand final.

That is sad news B&W. Are you sure on this? I agree that we are going to lack depth if we let Miller, Chisolm and Humble go for 2013\. We have gone from having a stack of options and not utilizing them to having very little options should Anasta or Benji get injured.

Looks like Moltzen training at halfback again in the offseason.

Lets hope now Sheens isn't in control Milky will get a last minute reprieve

Was looking forward to seeing

1 Teddy
6 Benji
7 Miller
9 Farah

It makes you wonder what the plans will be for the 7 jersey in 2013

If we have lost Miller and we aren't signing a new 7 because there won't be many out there by the time the new coaching situation is sorted , what are our plans ???
