The NRL is weird.

A player deliberately kicks another in the nuts and (probably accidentally) in the face, and the NRL gives him a slap on the wrist. If Ray and HG were still going, Salmon would be called The Nutcracker.

The injured player's coach calls the attacker a nasty name at a press conference and the NRL throws the book at him.

But it's all in the tone of the voice @Siberian Kitten as to how it comes across....humorous and probably not insulting as with Roy and HG or angry and insulting..... and Wicky was certainly angry when he said it.
I was a bit shocked when he said it, but I reckon it's a storm in a teacup compared to what happened to Our WT losing Our 2 points.
Now that is/was something worth getting angry about, but instead WT have basically been as quiet a church mouse about it 😡 and as you can see I am angry about that.

I think you hit the words "probably accidental" it maybe or maybe not... Ricky's comment ain't accidental - there's the difference

Except that Wicky at times of stress may not be able to control his emotions to the point where he cant stop putting his brain into gear before putting his mouth into action.....and I have someone close to me that is like that.

And with the number of times Wicky has been fined for saying stuff in post match pressers, I reckon he has a problem controlling his emotions.
Doesn't necessarily mean he is a bad person though.

Ive met Rick a few times. Straight shooter but a fair man.
If he thinks this young bloke is a weak gutted dog, then I would be likely to think he wouldn’t be too far removed from the title.

The initial incident put him on the radar. Rick has probably seen him do other stuff like the drink driving and smashing cars up and thought “that would be bloody right”…now he sees him do something dirty on the field and get away with it and his anger boils over.
So what? Why are you so upset over it?
