Jahream Bula #269

It will affect the quality of player we can attract to the club.

All agents want their players to grow, improve, become more valuable....they wont see that as a viable option at a HBG controlled WTs
It will, but not that much.

OK it will if we don't resign Bula...

Players will look to Benji and then the environment set by Richo/club staff.

Player agents will point to the board chaos yes, but most will point to contract clauses and try to get an extra 50k.

Don't get me wrong, it's a crap look. Particularly as someone as high profile as Barry O'Farrell being turfed looks really bad on HBG and the club.
It also looks totally crap as 7 men have fired Barry O'Farrell and 3 women. A very bad look and poor move as it will turn the blowtorch back on them.

Worried more for 2027 then now.

I was thinking a lot about positions.

Fullback is important but not KEY.

If Bula leaves it will hurt us, but won't bury us.

The bigger issue is still we don't have a NRL recognised halfback. Luai could do the job sometimes at Penrith, Jock Madden is the only player to regularly play that position and he is very reserve grade.

Plus our center pairing relies on Taylan May not doing anything stupid!

Bula has talent and ability and that X factor. What he doesn't have is a good read of the game. defensively he is a Liability but he is one of our few Dangerous players.

I don't want to loose Bula, but we can still keep going if we do. NRL generates fullbacks and there are a lot of people who would take a crack at fullback, especially as it's a position that can earn close to 1m. Bula can be replaced, good halfback or centers cannot.
