Jahream Bula #269

Well, if the club is using this philosophy to keep players why did they cut Bula's wife.
It would make more sense to retain her to transition an extension smoothly it makes you wonder if they even want him anymore for the following reasons.
1) They think he's not worth the dollars been asked for.
2) They have someone else in mind for 27.
3) They have had a gut full of Moses and his snake oil dealings and are going to cut all of his clients from the club Bula being the start of it.

It really is puzzling I hope the club is getting this right.
Think all the above is true!!
Agenda driven manager is simply impossible to deal with

His missus isn’t up to nrlw standard apparently . Well below from people who know the woman’s game.
This is all bullshit . He was promised to the dogs the moment the Galvin thing went down .
Unfortunately for the club you’d hope with Bula gone , that’s it for dealing with The Moses family ….. nope ! Our best junior in Godinet has him for a manager …..
He has not been "promised to the dogs" at all...

Brame is his manager - not Moses personally!

I think this is just another example of league fans writing a novel from a title, Steve.

There's so much context, unknowns, etc on this type of situation that we've got very little understanding of exactly what's going on would be my assumption.

Let it play out I'd say.

One of the few things we do know, directly from the mouths of both sides, is that Bula love the Tigers and the Tigers love Bula. Let's see what happens.
Well thankyou Kelce I didn't think I was that good a writer I'm chuffed.

When it comes down to it no one player is bigger than the club, most of us hope he's stays but for the unknown that you touch on and he does leave it's not the end of the world, new opportunities spring up every new season.

lol I don’t any info on that , I’m just saying what I think . The moment that shit went down with Galvin , and the club realised that they were back to being nothing more than leverage for Moses , they should have put a line through Bula , if only in pencil . It was inevitable this would happen .
Look we stumbled into him , we stumble out of. Hopefully it’s bought us time to make better choices . I hope we keep him , as I rate him highly , but as I’ve said before he is not Tedesco . He is replaceable .

Talk about throwing out the baby with the bath water...

Panic buttons at ten paces!

You're so scared of the mythical Moses boogie man it's pathetic!

It comes down to the character of the player and you have clearly never met Jahream!
What are you talking about ? Not one person has blamed Jahreem . Everyone is sticking the boot into Moses . He steers his players away from the tigers . It’s simply a fact .

Didn't mean you, mate. Sorry, I didn't explain that very well.

I meant it as a metaphor for everybody filling in a raft of blanks on a situation that, we all know, almost all of us have basically zero info on. That's all.

Was not a dig at you in any way, shape or form, legend.

What are you talking about ? I’m the last person to knee jerk . Litterally I said in pencil . Ie..: the club should have been pragmatic enough to realise , that Moses steer shi clients away , UNLESS … key word here, they have a great repore with the club like I’ve heard Godinet a family does .
For me Bula seems like a great guy , But it would be absolute stupidity to have not taken the lessons from the Galvin saga , and to be honest the bad faith negotiations of Moses nephew , as well as the fallout of both Klemmer and Bateman , whichever or whatever your opinion on those contracts is ….. and not come tot he conclusion I have . Moses is a bad faith actor . He can’t be trusted , and it would be stupid to enter into any negotiations with him , and not have multiple backup plans and stokes in the fire . It has very little if at all to do with Bula . There’s a reason the club went around him to the Galvin family multiple times . You don’t do that , if you think this guy is relaying all the information/ there’s trust there .
It’s not “throwing the baby out with the bath water “ . I’ve stated multiple times I want him to stay . I hope he does . But both things can be true at once .

Facts are that Tyran Smith actively steers his players away from the Tigers!

We have had and continue to have multiple Cove Agency/Moses players on our books - including Brooks who was here for 10 years with Moses as his agent!

The Moses issue is overstated!

This club rarely gets signings right. When was the last time we got or kept a top player ? Only Luai at an inflated price. It was dumb to let Bula's wife go when she was playing for peanuts in a shit team. Could probably let another 10 go from ladies team. This just jeopardises retaining Bula imo.
In recent years, they've barely got a signing wrong.

Luai, Terrell, Taylan, KPP all internationals, all have come on board inside of 12 months.

Even the Hunts and Birds of the world have played a role at times, despite not being slam dunks.

In terms of top prospects, in recent times we've extended Godinet, Taupau-Moors, van Drie, Havea Jnr, Tavana, Haywood, among a raft of others. Even shrewd retentions like a Twal for eg, have been shown, thus far, to be a masterstroke. He was most improved in 2025 for mine.

Don't confuse history with modernity. Richardson is not free of mistakes or criticisms, but this administration resembles very little in terms of what we have had for most of the joint ventures lifetime.

Probably more Isaac's methods and open disdain for Benji, Snidey.

I think that's where the concern comes from.

That, and his propensity to stack unfortunate teams with his players, like we're seeing at Manly and formerly saw at Brisbane.

Getting players is one thing. Getting them to stay is another.

Tyran is dirty from the way the club let him go . From memory there was some shittiy dealings . I think he said it was race based at the time . As in the club thought the Polly boys were lesser than.. I was just a teenager and reading it in the paper though . Loved him in the tigers jersey . Real shame it’s fallen the way it has. Pretty stupid to still have that opinion in 2025 , considering not 1 person is even at the club anymore that would have formulated his opinions in the first place . At some point you’re just hating on a picture/ emblem .
Moses simply can’t be trusted . Thats all I’m saying . It’s litterally like marrying someone who’s slept with all your friends and everyone you know. It’s your choice to be naive and say the worst won’t happen… but yea .
He is the personification of the story “Scorpion and the frog” … and he’s not the frog !

Can you blame fans for being a little jumpy?

Agree there's lots to play out, but the lack of news leaves a vacuum for speculation. This isn't going to be sorted before Nov.1, when he can chat openly with other clubs. That's when the circus truely starts.

All good mate, what we all know on here is when there's talk of one of our good players not extending straight away it creates angst, brought about by the scars of the past.

A good way to explain it would be like going for a bush walk and treading on an enormous bull ant nest, now that gets the adrenalin pumping.

Not at all mate. Not at all.

That's exactly why I'm continuing to reiterate the message of not jumping at shadows, so people don't allow speculation to get them riled up.

It's understandable, but silly.

Agreed mate. Would be great to have it sorted before pre-season starts though. Wouldn't a 2026 free of contract dramas be a nice Christmas present for Richo and Benji?

No - Tyran left the club on good terms to go to Canberra.

His grievance as an agent was with how Mosese Fotuaika's death was handled and how little support his close mates in the squad BMM - Sitaleki Akauola etc were provided by the club.

He then lost all respect for the professionalism of the Pascoe front office in subsequent dealings - and we have not retained or had the option of signing any of his clients for many years.

He doesn't do business with the club because he doesn't think signing with the Tigers is in the best interests of his players...

Moses is a corrupt prick - but he has not blacklisted the Tigers as some insinuate.
