Jahream Bula #269

Yeah. Not sure activating a clause for a player who doesn’t want to be here is the answer either if we want to have a good year

The club’s retention of our young players is just not good enough
Understood and dont entirely disagree...but unless we want Tracey in a trade, theres nobody else internally or externally, and mite need to buy some time
Our retention overall is OK except Moses managed..kiss of death
And btw..Tracey is far from terrible..he was in top 5 of Dally Ms until he got injured last season...but its just galling to trade down to a guy with a lower ceiling and outsmarted by Gould and Moses yet again into whom weve invested so much

How can he sign with the dogs the mutual options don't expire till mid-May, he can talk to other clubs but that's it, Tigers could just take up the club option so no deal can be signed elsewhere until we pass on it.
Thats exactly why nothing is announced..Bulldogs are waiting for our option to expire
Deal is already done Im sure
Godinet will be the same.We need an option on his future based on his achievements,or he aint worth spending a bean on.I dont care how good he may be..we need to invest in players who have a future with US
Need to follow Politis lead in avoiding Moses managed players regardless of talent..in fact.the more talented they are the more likelihood of them leaving.
We get stuck with Moses" reserve graders because no one else wants them and then contracts mean something..to our detriment
Im with Uncle Nick

If our management has any brains which we doubt highly, they will play hard ball and trigger the option, Bula at the moment would leave a huge hole in the squad if we were to let him go early to please him and the dogs, stuff them.

2 years to fix for life after, you seen what the disruption caused when wonder boy left early last season, are you getting a horrible sense of deja vu.

Yeah these are my thoughts. Although he probably likes the idea of being perceived as being loyal rather that shove it in our faces like Galvin did.
Galvin was a one off who was never happy with WTs,hence his 4 requests to part company mostly before hed done anything
Strange dude
Only thing I took from that is the behaviour of Moses cunningness to do anything to facilitate Galvins end goal.
CEO didnt play it well tbh
Personally, I dont think he will ever play SOO as he's just too big at 6 4 and Gould is building him up further during the offseason. His mobility(but not necessarily his speed which hes working on will be compromised
Kurtis Sironen 2.0..hopefully

What was the club option again RHS? $900k for 2027?

He could play origin if theres a flop coach like Laurie Daley at the helm.

Seems feasible 👍

I would say mosses would go for a early release if we pulled the lock him down , Mosses gets zero if that happens , so he would 100% destroy our seasonAlmost(but not quite)worth extending him for that reason alone!!
And we need to follow the Eels lead with Lomax and stand up for contracts, even if it means going to court
Am totally over this insidious grub

Yep reasonable dealings to extend Bula on a new contract for 2 or 4 years which allows IM to get his cut, otherwise trigger the option for '27 unless we can secure Joey Manu!!!

He should take one of the two offers then from WT if he is concerned about getting nothing …

Destroy our season how exactly ?
If we take up our option for 2027 mosses gets zero the same as this year he gets zero , so to make money he needs a new contract and would go all out to get Bulla a early release same as Galvin , this process would be a repeat of last year and destroy our season same as last year
