Jahream Bula #269

Thats exactly why nothing is announced..Bulldogs are waiting for our option to expire
Deal is already done Im sure
Godinet will be the same.We need an option on his future based on his achievements,or he aint worth spending a bean on.I dont care how good he may be..we need to invest in players who have a future with US
Need to follow Politis lead in avoiding Moses managed players regardless of talent..in fact.the more talented they are the more likelihood of them leaving.
We get stuck with Moses" reserve graders because no one else wants them and then contracts mean something..to our detriment
Im with Uncle Nick
Uncle Nick didn't keep his word. IMoses was de-registered from the game, and Politis fought to have him re-registered so that he could sign Joseph Sua'ali'i. Even after all of that Moses screwed him over again. And thanks to that we have the Isaac Moses clownshow in the NRL again. Lmao.

People can under estimate uncle Nick. If the player is a gun & uncle Nick wants them, then it doesn’t matter who the manager is. He won’t deal directly with Isaac but will deal with a third party. Teddy was still under Moses when he signed with Roosters. You know Gus also once said he wouldn’t deal with Moses but again if the player is who he wants then it doesn’t matter. We aren’t the only club Isaac has burned

I would say the delay with the Bulldogs announcing it is that they are working with Moses on the TPA.
Legally Moses can't have anything to do with the TPA and no TPA can legally be aligned with a contract. If TPA and contracts are linked the clubs are in breach of the salary cap rules.

I am not stupid enough to think that it doesn't go on behind closed doors; however, you would be a bit stupid to rely on TPAs gettign a contract over the line when it is your livelihood.

Most of the "bonuses" that come with selecting one club over another in present times are related to other intangibles; like financial advice, investment opportunities, etc.

TPAs are contracts directly between players and the sponsors - check out the Deep Dive on TPAs for the detail.

Happens all the time champ, most top line NRL players have TPA's. The NRL turns a blind eye as it would create absolute havoc if they cracked down on them.

any chance Bula might consider going to PNG in 2028?

Get the big tax free dollars … live in the compound with his missus …I don’t think the lack of nightlife will worry him …

Yes, TPAs happen all of the time mate and you are 100% corect most top line players have them. BUT they can't be linked to club contract as it is illegal. The TPA must be between the third party and the player - any links to contracts and it is a breach of the salary cap.

If you read my response I stated up front that it would be stupid to think that this isn't flaunted at times - but if it is the reson for a contract hold up it is likely to leak and bring down heavy penalties. Managers and Clubs are too smart for that shit now - there may be some "introductions" happen - but it isn't linked to the contract.

What’s your thoughts on Bulla , do you think he will stay and it is only just crossing the T etc or do you think he maybe heading out the door

How can he sign with the dogs the mutual options don't expire till mid-May, he can talk to other clubs but that's it, Tigers could just take up the club option so no deal can be signed elsewhere until we pass on it.
