I maintain there has been stalling in all contract negs since Richardson left it is very likely the hold up is just as much a club issue - Terrell has been vocal about it . Sean M was left holding the can and he can't do it all he needs some help.

If Shaun needs help then he better get it..,quick… he has been in the job a while now. Bula is just the tip of the iceberg .. there is a lot of guys that can negotiate with other clubs come November 1..

Let’s be honest ..both him and Bula are mid level , not elite fullbacks …that’s what you pay these days… a number of desperate clubs out there now pushing up the prices ..

He wouldn't know. Bulldogs need their forwards.pack sorted before fullback. Think he will stay but if he doesn't then so be it.

Yeah the interview with the marly.chuck was interesting...pretty sure he said he occasionally gets emotional at training and Benji is great for him at those times.

Lots.of.footage of him with fans.pre game...he really is quite shy, awkward a bit and seems very introverted...a.first grade nrl.squad setting would be quite difficult for this type of persona id guess.

Makes you wonder why he isn’t extended already then? 🤔

Seems he has a safe environment where he is ..we know what the Canterbury environment is like

Exactly and retention is key to success.
Like Richardson or not, the best thing about him was his autonomy without pussyfooting around the board.

Yes … Richo could act efficiently and had a well practiced eye for NRL talent and salary that Shaun doesn’t have ..

Having said that … there has been plenty of time now to sort Bula out one way or the other … likely the delay is with the other side …

The NRL are as weak as - haven't got the balls to tell Gus to pull his head in. Why bother creating an anti tampering rule for commentators involved with NRL clubs if your just going to let them quite openly continue to build players egos.

As some on here mentioned, Bula is very much an introvert who is deeply connected to his faith. It's unfortunate that he signed up with an agent who is an alpha male and who hates the WT. We all know his dealings with us over the big 4 and last year with Galvin, we lost that game twice.

Introverted people can be easily infleunced by alpha males and it would not suprise me if this is the case with Moses and Bula.

As I've mentioned 105 times(allegedly 🙂) before, I have been told by someone I know who works for the Bulldogs football dept 2 months ago that Bula has stated he wants to sign with the Dogs and they apparently have talked terms and money, through a 3rd party, even though they technically can't.

Now, I'm like everyone on here and hope that Bula stays, who knows what he will do now that the Dogs have signed Tracey for an extra 2 years and the Dragons are more interested in Drinkwater.

But we all know how the snakes of Moses and Gould operate, don't believe a word we hear in the press about them wanting to retain Burton!.

Maybe the Dogs have plans to farewell both Xerri and Burton, free up a stack of cash, play Tracey in the centres and still go for Bula with a huge deal......

They are different people though … Galvin was always gunna leave.. he wanted to leave before he played a first grade game .. he seemed to dislike Benji as much as a Moses

The dude is a fullback … is he a better Center than Xerri ? Who knows ? Does Gus and Ciraldo take that risk?

He Could have also gone to the Bears on big money to pay FB
