Hey guys
There's plenty of talk about who is the man to wear the no.1 jersey, with opinions varing from McKinnon, Moltzen or Brown.

But when will we see young Jake Mullaney in the black and gold? Personally I would pick him to be the fullback. Obviously Sheensy likes McKinnon but if McKinnon doesn't find some of his old form within the next 4 or so rounds I think we (depending on how the team is performing) should look to Mullaney.

He's young, he's a fulltime fullback, unlike Moltzen and imo should be given a go.

This is what I would have..
1\. Mullaney
2\. Brown
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
14\. Moltzen

Moltzen, even though he's good enough for a starting spot, would make a superb utility. I'm not a fan of having a player like Daniela or Ryan on the bench that comes on for a few minutes or doesn't play at all. I'd rather have Moltzen who could play for 20-15 or so minutes replicating (hopefully) somthing of a Craig Wing.

Mullaney can kick goals too :sunglasses:

Wow, what a genius idea !!!
Did you come up with it yourself ?
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this !?
~~

Won't happen. He's a midget who cannot tackle which makes him a liability and for this reason we won't see him in FG anytime soon. Some people will argue this and that's fine, but this is the way it is.

Demps, There is no need for that crap, We are all on here for the support of our club, And to discuss stuff about the club and players in a positive manner, NOT to ridicule someone else, Give yourself an uppercut, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit , Get it.

Should change the thread title to Demps appreciation thread.
Take a joke guys, haha. Get the tissues out for 'em Willow.

It's more than likely and I'd be willing to bet on it that in just a few weeks you will see MOLTZEN @ #1 and BEAU RYAN @ #5.
Not sure about Utai, Sheens may have him on the bench or possible not in the top 18 at all… have to wait and see what his future is.

EDIT: 300th Post. It'z the final countdownnn :roll :righton: :master:

Not at all. Everyone is entitled to their opinion as long as it is voiced in a sensible manner and not ridiculing or belittling people.

imo now is not the time to blood rookies in key positions, this should have and would have been done in the past 5 years. anyway people seem to write off mckinnon too easily, he looked good tonight. i would say if he got injured or hit some beau ryan form the fullback list would look like

2\. brown
3\. moltzen
4\. ryan
5\. mullaney

How is Mullaney handling the open grade… interested ?

Went well against the Dogs….haven't heard yet about last nights game

Willow he can tackle ...

I saw him play last week and id say he more than held his own. Started some good attacking plays and looked pretty good. Defended very well also.
To all the people who say he is too small, just look at Preston campbell

I reckon he'll make FG if not this year then next year

Very good solo try from Jake last night.

Still coming to terms but it is coming along

This is good to hear as he has a lot of talent… it all takes time and i,m sure there is a future in the NRL.

Defence is the problem..He will never get a run untill he improves his goal-line defence.

We know he can score points…so can most fullbacks and His biggest advantage is that he can kick goals.
