Jake Mullaney's future with Wests uncertain

I don't think his boss is going to be too Happy..In fact Mr Sheens is going to be mighty pissed off… whatever chance he did have has just disappeared.

Good to see family support can't blame Mum and Grandma On the other hand his manager should know better....1st thing I would do is get a new Manager.

At least his family speak up and support him..he was put into the squad this year but could not even get a Meany 5 minutes…who knows what Teflon is thinking, remember he released Gallant and McDonnell and then signed McKinnon from Warriors reserve grade..I am confused.

Slightly off topic but Jakes position highlights the faults of the current NYC system. Basically if you haven't made it by 20, our game is saying you are a 'has been'. We need to have a strong reserve grade comp or increase the age of the NYC to U/23 like the old Presidents Cup

100% spot on alfie…..200 plus players are put on the scrapheap at age 20 ....every year , and as most know front rowers are only just starting to hit their straps in their mid 20s ....

Looks Like Mullaney is destined for State Cup with Parramatta!

That's also the mindset of the players. If guys don't get a run in 1st grade before they're 21 they are pretty keen to move on. It's hard for clubs to bring players along these days. You don't get many players plugging away in reserves for a few years waiting for their time. Even players who debut in their 20s have normally had a few clubs before that.
I don't necessarily blame them but things are certainly not what they used to be!
