What's he supposedly on? I keeping hearing it's reasonable, so I'm guessing $500k to $700k per year?

Report was $700k over two years, so $350k a season or thereabouts.

I think it is actually even less than that.

Hardly overs when You consider based on the salary cap the average wage is 333k . Pretty good business really .

A great signing.

Hope so, not as confident.

At what we have paid it is an excellent signing

On Tamou's efforts last night, we'd have been better off keeping Huth. Same player, just cheaper.
Having said that, I have no idea about his leadership qualities, but most seem to think him an excellent captain. At any rate, 2 years ain't too onerous. (Well, not compared to Packer/Reynolds/McQueen et al).

The Fact we have signed the Captain of the team that won the Minor Premiership and is likely to win the premiership will go a long way to Signing up other top line players
I think it was a very smart move
Its a little like when we signed Todd Payten

Huth is not even close to the level week in week out of Tamou.

If only he also had half the skill of Payten.

"he brings experience on and off the field" this is rugby league not bridge, they have to bring sticking tackles fast play the balls and hard runs, the rest is fluff and it shows in our performances.

Tamou has played for Australia and NSW. Payten wasn’t even in the discussion for origin at any point. That says it all.

Maybe because he was in the team that won the comp, people’s memories fade.

I remember him being highly sort after out of Canberra , before signing for big dollars at the roosters and struggling for form and fitness . His name definitely was thrown up in the origin conversation .

Why do people keep bringing up past accolades to justify recruitment? Today he's a plodder, don't buy him.

He had an achillies injury before he joined Tigers, that year we won the comp.

Payten was a great player. I enjoy listening to what he has to say as he is a smart operator and articulate.

Yep, starting prop and captain of the best team in the comp, has lost ONE game all year. Definitely a plodder.

I’m not going to bother arguing this one any further.
