James Tamou

Yep that is no good.
But I would've liked to have seen Tamou do that on SaturdayšŸ‘
Hey FAB how's it going.
I just didn't like the anger and smug look on the referees face as he marched James off the field.
If player, who are in a war have to control their emotions then what's that say about the prancing pansies with the whistle. Need their noses adjusted šŸ˜‰

It’s a long deliberation for something which should be straight forward. You can’t abuse the ref and call him fing incompetent to his face for everyone to hear. 2 weeks is fair.

wow! I’m happy for James as he deserves to finish his career on the field (getting flogged by the Raiders 🤣). However, I would love to hear the defence and how they came to this decision. The blog on the NRL site basically has him saying that his emotions got the better of him because of the situation of the game. That’s life you need to control your emotions or face the consequences.

As a former referee I disagree with this decision as it sets up a bad precedent at all levels. It’s hard enough to keep young referees in the game or encourage more referees to sign up. Things like this drive them away especially when players now feel it is okay. People give referees a hard time however we need them to have a game.

In fairness refs have treated our team worse mate ,so things have to even out sometime

Come on,referees are sacrosanct , always have been and always will.
If he gets a dispensation it will open a can of worms like the League has never seen.
I like him and feel really sorry for him and his family but he knows after 300 games what he did was not going to get him anywhere.
Minimum 2 weeks, then it’s up to us if he takes a spot next year or there is an up and comer we need to nurture.
He would have been better directing all his anger at his lazy teammates and tell them what a disgrace they were to the jersey.
Got that one wrong didn’t I. Well, for whatever reason he got his wish and can go out in style coz I don’t think he’ll be there in 2023, UNLESS they feel there is some synergy between him and API.
